Another week has passed and we're still in 3rd, with only one measley point separating us and second place Arsenal. It feels good to be into December and the word "relegation" is no longer in our vocabulary.

This week will be tough, as Bolton is never an easy match for us. This is especially true this season as they are in our league of over-performing. :D

My prediction: I think we're gonna win. I know, my pessimism usually works in the past. But this week, let's go for optimism. It's nice that we can actually do that and not feel silly about it. You all would have laughed at me last season if I had predicted a win every game....

Shown on FSW 3pm ET/2pm CT.

    Go Toffees!

    I'm going to say 1-1 or 1-0.

This week we finish some goals. Everton 2-0

It's time for Bent to put one in again. Osman comes back to the scoring ranks also.

(I am almost never right about who scores)

Another good chance for three points as Bolton has two good attackers out - Ricardo Gardner and El-Llama Diouf.

A win here would be huge going into the match against That Club Across Town.

Couple of good chances by Okocha, forcing Martyn to make a couple of saves. Tommy Gravesen had a bullet on net earlier. No score though.

Ugh. Davies scores from the 6' box off a corner. 1-0 Bolton

Looks like Lee Carsley wants to be a hero again. Too bad it was way, way off target. :(

What is it with Everton playing like crap at home? This has not been a good game so far. They gotta turn it around before that score gets out of hand. Luckily, Bolton is not a great team so we're still in this one.

Do you see what optimism does? I give up. We're gonna lose big. 5-0 Bolton. That's my prediction.

Lee Carsley feeds Bent, who whips it into the box. Cahill just barely misses the net. That was really really close; an excellent diving header.

Uh oh. Things getting a little feisty now. Yellow card to Davies for taking down Weir in retaliation. C'mon fellas I'm back to pessimism.

A blatant foul on Bent. Kilbane to take a free kick, virtually dead center. Nothin' doin'. Damn.

Big Dunc, in his first start of the season, blasts it past the keeper to equalize. Beautiful cross from Pistone to set him up. Really superb. It's hard to hate him when he scores.

    HT 1-1

Well, that goal helped but really not a good half for us. We started to come back towards the end of the half, but it's still no where near the level of play we've seen so far this season. At least we get to come out of that dressing room on level terms and play like we know how to play without having to dig out of a hole.

I can't get the website to open, so I don't know what happened, but livescore says Kevin Davies scored again... 2-1 Bolton

    FT 3-2 Everton

Looks like we won it on a Jaidi own goal. Classic. I'm gonna have to make a trip to the pub this afternoon to watch it on FSW, since I missed the second half...

    Wow. 10 wins in 16!

Forget Carsley for the moment. Is Graveson available?
