England - December 19 - 05:30pm: @ Everton (Premier League) - SkySports America - December 19 - 12:30pm: @ Everton (Premier League) - NBCSN, Universo Canada - December 19 - 12:30pm: @ Everton (Premier League) - DAZN Australia - December 20 - 04:30am: @ Everton (Premier League) - OptusSports The open goal drought is broken! Time to keep breaking it, this week would be a good one to score a few goals. Weird result against Southampton, but we didn't take the L and so on we move to Everton. Beat Everton, and we are (incredibly) only 6 points behind them. Its a big ask, and they are in good form beating Chelsea and then beating Leicester. But Auba scored, Saka became peak Messi for about 40 seconds leading to the goal, its time to turn our fortunes around. And hopefully not get another ********ing red card.
After today’s match I’m pretty sure they advertised our next match as being on NBC rather than NBCSN. But NBC’s guide info is so wacky and so last-minute, we may have to wait a few days to confirm that.
Just learned that Tierney is Manx. I had no idea. Not sure how that's pertinent for this match - but there it is.
I just noticed that on yesterday’s goalzone show they still are advertising this match as being on the main NBC channel.
Definitely looks like a 3-4-3, though it could be a 4-3-3 with Saka as the left mid. Aubameyang wasn’t at training yesterday, so he may have a knock. He’s also due a rest.
Some housekeeping ahead of kick-off here. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is out with a tight calf. Furthermore, we have two extra players in reserve to chose from after a Premier League rule change permitted teams to name nine players on the bench, up from the previous seven, from this weekend.
Thanks for pointing that out. I heard that they also voted down the cry to return to five subs. Seems dumb to me. But then Wilder & Parker seem to disagree.
I don't like Holding much as a defender at a club trying to reach the dizzy heights of top 6. He can barely sort himself out let alone the rest of the team.
15' 0-0 Thus far an affair worthy of only a few thousand in attendance. But Arsenal isn't losing, so there's that. C'mon you Gunners! I remember writing in a blog about how well Arsenal did that in the mid 00's. Very much a lost art today.
15' Keane has a go from 25 yards with a line drive that goes just 1 yard outside the top left corner. Phew.
******** this is boring. As with all harebrained tactical schemes, I ask: "in the manager's mind, how is this supposed to look when it works?" I don't know that there's an answer to that, because this system doesn't seem like it can ever work.
Not sure if it's the lighting or the pitch but that's 3 x already Arsenal players have grossly misread a deflected ball.
