Vancouver doesn’t have control of BC Place and have been up for sale for a while with no real interest. The Don is pushing for the team to get control of BC Place. Vegas has interested investors and The Don has the opportunity to force the sale/relocation of the team for a record fee. The Vegas investors could just be a ploy to force Vancouver’s government to step in and help prevent the relocation of the team.
There's also speculation that MLS won't allow the team to be sold for anything less than what San Diego's expansion fee was. I'm sure there are buyers in Vancouver that will pay several hundred million for the team, but there is still the issue of the stadium. I haven't heard much about that though.
So….. Bazarkos just made the most infuriating call against Atlanta. Called back a goal for a foul that was absolutely not a foul on a corner. VAR didn’t even make him go to the monitor. Incredibly atrocious.
Occasionally my conspiracy theory side takes over and this season’s MLS VAR useage is such a situation. There have been too many moments where they haven’t called the referee to look at VAR replays when they clearly should. My conspiracy theory is that maybe there’s an agreement between the league and PRO to the effect that certain no-calls/calls will not be reviewed. The objective being to reduce embarrassment to the referees.
VARsenal amirite id have no problem with the corner sequence having a foul called in real time there. For either team, honestly. But absolutely nothing about that was “clear and obvious” to sent the ref to the monitor. And it taking that long is exactly the opposite of “clear and obvious”.
They could just come out and punish ManCity and be done with trying to save the title for Arsenal already. I don't have a dog in the fight but my youngest son is an Arsenal fan and he takes it very seriously. They are having their first kid in a month and Declan is one of their top 2 or 3 names.
MLS salaries are out. I'm curious what everyone thinks. Discuss RSL specifics in the in season news thread? MLS Players Salary Guide | MLS Players Association RSL are in the bottom third of salaries. https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_...ary-jumps-283m-inter-miami-dominates-spending Is there a correlation between salary spend and shield standings? I would think there is, but there are always exceptions to both sides.
The bald guy that got the third for Dallas against us got the winner vs SJ. I'm pretty sure he knows how to play and score regardless of how he's judged for his hairline.
He gets subbed in for the ends of games, and now has 3 goals. Sarver is INEVITABLE!!! Seriously, what a cool story. The closer.
His pace is absurd. Kudos to him and Dallas for maximizing it. Soccer wise roasted him for his hair too but acknowledged he’s doing the job
He and some teammates did a choreographed celebration right in front of the SJE supporters who pelted them with beer cans. He picked a half full one up, looked up at them, and poured it all over his face while celebrating. It was hilarious as a neutral.
That was so strange last night. It looked like the SJ defenders weren’t even paying attention to him. The pass to him was absolutely perfect. He’s cucumber cool when he shoots.
I checked the Inter-Miami board to see if there was any information about why Santi Morales hasn’t been in their lineup the past few weeks. That board is a total waste of BS space.
This is a fantastic article by Charles boehm about Dallas’ San Sarver, of beer chugging goal celebration fame. https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/sam-...lebrity-free-beer-overcoming-deep-dark-things I like this guy. I really hope he doesn’t go milkshake duck on us.
