I'm trying, Sporting website did a good job with the top 10, I got the title from this thread from a old SL Benfica article
Have you ever seen that goal? I've seen footage on Eusebio and it shows that goal and believe me it hurt really bad he runs half the pitch past a couple of defenders and blasts a rocket into the net from the right wing, from a tight angle it was amazing Portugal won 1-0.
His 1137 goals got included the goals he scored in N. America and in Africa, with Sporting of Lourenco Marques the ex capital of Mozambique
what they forgot to say is that Portugal played much of the game with 10 players and the portuguese keeper saved the game by saving a penalty shot, Jose Pereira of Belenenses

I know that Nuno Gomes will never score that many goals as this three guys, but yesterday I was thinking who did Nuno Gomes play like, and he reminds me a lot of Jose Aguas, I wish somebody could pull his photo he was the captain the lift our 2 CL cups, and then he left to play in Austria, if he had played in the final against Milan, he would be the difference. know you guys know, Nuno Gomes plays a lot like Jose Aguas. A bad photo of Jose Aguas at the end of this article http://www.slbenfica.pt/Adeptos/adeptos_grandesjogadores_avancados.asp his a white boy like a lot of others born in Angola, Costa Pereira etc.
I hear a story from my daddy, Benfica in the early 60's came to play a few international games in the states, including a all star team of the American Soccer League a profissional league, in the team was a portuguese goalkeeper Morais, today a detective in Newark, he didn't score on him, when the sub came in he score like 5 goals and we won something like 7-2.
like Nuno Gomes impulsao e elegancia Impulsão e elegância Jogou 13 épocas no Benfica, entre 50/51 e 62/63.

melhores marcadores de sempre do Benfica and let's not forget Vitor Baptista, I will let Marco Goncalves talk about this kid, what he taught of him and the way he died http://www.slbenfica.pt/Adeptos/adeptos_grandesjogadores_avancados.asp
Vitor Batista a talented player ,the best way to describe him in my eyes would be to say this:He was the Portuguese George Best....Not as talented on the pitch of course, but a rebel outside the pitch ...Became famous when he stopped a play by going on his knees in front of 50k people to look for his earing...1st player to Wear an Earing in Portugal.... Sadly enough he died young, unlike Best who died because of Alcohol ,he died from Drugs ,some people even say he died from Aids....God Bless his soul....
in that game he score the winning goal 1-0 over Sporting, and he ask the referee for a time out, like Best, but in a worse way he died in poverty, at a young age.
