    LOL, from 606...

2106: There's Hugh Grant! The actor is just helping himself to a European beer in one of those fancy European glasses. Lovely.

....he's a big Fulham supporter and apparently worked for a short period as a groundsman at Craven Cottage. Now back to the match............

****! Aguero missed from 2 feet away! 2nd half of Extra Time is next. Fulham's alive by the skin of their teeth.

    Oh f***.....

Back to watching the semi-final in Cardiff. It's in extra time with 5 mins left and it's level on aggregate.

Was really pulling for Fulham today. Tough loss, but your boys put in a good season and great run in the tournament.

Fair play to both clubs. Fulham FAR exceeded all expectations and gave their fans a hell of a season. It's too bad our boy Dempsey couldn't taste European glory.

You did La Liga proud, for once, Patetico... not bad. ;):D

Just back from the pub. What can I say? Gutted.

    What a battle...

Well won by the Spaniards, even if both goals needed a bit of luck.

Hell of a season, boys! Safe and midtable. FA Cup Quarters. Europa League Finalists!

It's been a great year for the Whites! Onward to new heights next season!

Yeah, a valiant effort, but not to be sadly.

No Europa League for Fulham next year, so we'll just have to win the League Cup or something. Should be no problem!

Gutted is an understatement. We didn't deserve to lose like that. Both of Forlan's goals were cheap, but hey, they count.

To come so far and leave with nothing is really heart breaking.

On to next year. With the sale of Harrods, I think a little more might be invested, and we pick up a few quality buys. I am yet to be disappointing in one of Roy's buys, except AJ of course.

    Chins up. COYW.

To say you left with nothing is pretty unfair, to be frank. Fulham FC as a whole gained an exorbitant amount throughout this run. It's not a trophy, but it's more than the tiny club from London has ever had, which in my honest opinion, means leaps and bounds more to the players & staff than a trophy would for bigger teams.

You guys made a valiant effort and showed the world that you don't need to spend heaps of money to be successful; and anyone who says this wasn't a success is deluded.

Congratulations again, and thank you for making me believe.

Well said. You guys had a dream season in Europe, no doubt about it. Enjoy it. And peace to my boy Clint Dempsey. ;)

It was an Awesome run! The guys didn't hide from anyone having beat the reigning champs along with other very good clubs.

It is sad to see them lose in the final but it doesn't take away from the pride that everyone should have for the amazing run this season.

So do we start a Europa 2011-12 thread or just use this (misspelled) one?

First opponent: NSÍ Runavík of Faroe Islands.

I'd call that a fortunate draw. First match is just 10 days away.

    Start up a new one.

So, how are the Faroe Islands this time of year?

Will do. Feel free to unsticky this one and sticky the new one...

I imagine that July is about as good as the Faroes are likely to get, weather-wise. Should be a relatively painless trip and one that most of the starters can probably miss without much worry.
