Okay those outside of Europe may be wondering why I put a song contest in the polictal forum but trust me it belongs here.

The thing that really struck me about the entire event that the UK didn't get no points while I admit our entry was garbage it didn't deserve 0 points. So here is conclusive proof that the rest of Europe hates us Brits at the moment. But what really surprised me was Isreal who looked like they'd be joing us but no even they scored; as it stands the over libreal European public only hates us.

Oh and the hell did Turkey win and the Austrain bloke was one of the most funniest things I had ever seen.

The whole contest is an absolute farce..
    the songs are abysmal..
    the judging is political...
I only heard one of the songs...
I heard the spanish entry and it was terrible.

Eurovision song contest? Does it still exist?

Last time I watched it it was 1984... and the italian song was a beautiful one by battiato (I treni di tozeur)...

Italian medias ignore it. And well... seeing the italian participants (when they participate) I'm happy about that.

I wouldn't want to see such crap as toto cutugno winning it as now I'm seeing in an italian results list.

If in a song contest toto cutugno wins it means the whole thing suckz...

It's a political game... besides that... it's boring as hell.

Never watch it. Never will. Did make a phonecall to England yesterday to rub it in someone's face. Hey... we were drunk and bored.

The whole thing is just crap.
Once in a while we sent some "funny" contestant, but almost all the time our songs are the most embarassing. I didn´t watch it.
Always afterwards they say "well our song was good, but I guess we are not very popular in Europe!" Maybe it´s true, but if you sent crap, don´t think you get points.
    BTW, why do I bother?

I Germany it´s seen as trash by alot of people. Gays meet in eurovision-partys and people get drunk, but don´t really care. But I guess there are still people who take it for serious.

amazing how did you come up with such wit. And your sentence would make much more sense if you used the term "retarted".

I have heard that the UK entry was performed badly, basically the singer(s) were off key. I heard the winners sing right at the end and they were dreadful! If that was the winner, I'm glad I missed everyone else's singing!

haha... yeah, I'm really disappointed that the Austrain guy didn't win. His song really deserved it:
    http://ra.yle.fi/ramgen/tv2/euroviisut/viisu2.rm

    Here are the translated lyrics:
The animals of this Earth, I like them alot
But above all I like the bunnies and the bears

Soon all birds will die, soon all beetles will die
Only Adam is lying in his bed and reproduces himself with Eve

The bunnies are living in the woods
    The cats on the grassland
    And the cockroaches,
    They are living behind tiles

    Little bunnies have short noses
And little cats have soft hair
And Mrs Holle likes the wool
    From dromedaries out of Africa

The difference between man and apes and primates
Is not much bigger than between noodles and pancakes

But who wants to know more about animals has to study biology
Or has to inform himself on my homepage

    Some Animals have wings
    And others have fins
Some are lying in the open
    and others in the box

    Sgt. Duckie's Song!

    How're you feeling Ducky?

I'm a little bit moody, today?

    Why's that, Ducky?

I'm a little bit sad and lonely
    Now my baby's gone away...
    I'm feeling kinda blue
Don't know just what to do
I feel a little sad today.

    Chorus:
He's a little bit sad and lonely
    Now his baby's gone away
    He's feeling kinda blue
He don't know just what to do
He's not feeling so good today.

    Verse:
    Wheeeen I smile
The sun comes flooding in (dadadadadada)
    But wheeeen I'm sad
It goes behind the clouds again.

    Chorus:
He's a little bit sad and lonely
    Now his baby's gone away
    He's feeling kinda -
    etcetera, etcetera.
