This lineup looks like its pretty close to what we'll see other than the fact that I think that in place of Cherundolo or Hejduk we'll see Bocanegra. They have 3 wingbacks out of the 4 defenders listed.

I also think that we might see Donovan again just because he is Donovan, but thats my opinion.

    According to EuroSport:

    ...................Howard
    Cherundolo Hejduk Berhalter Vanney
    ..................Mastroeni
    .......Stewart..............Lewis
    ..................Martino
    ..........Mathis............Twellman

Its just their probably lineup, I doubt its right. When I look at it again we'll probably see Cory Gibbs in place of Berhalter and probably Cherundolo at that right back spot. I wouldn't be surprised to see Frankie play on the left today like in the WC as he seems to be the most fit of all of our defenders, and able to do the two games in three days thing.

One question that I'm having is I wonder if Klein will start instead of Stewart? Earnie only played 18 minutes against Turkey, so he could start again today, but if he starts you're almost guaranteeing that you'll sub him out at some point in the second half. Its a tough decision because you'd like to have someone with the leadership that Earnie has out there against Brazil with this young team, but I'm not sure that he could go more than 75 or 80 minutes against them. Tough call for Bruce, glad I'm not him.

    My lineup

    ...........Howard
    Dolo Gibbs Boca Hejduk
    ......... Mastoreni
    Stewart.............Lewis
    .............Martino
    ...Mathis..........Twellman

i'd like to see Boca and Gibbs get a shot together

i doubt berhalter starts this one.

and interesting to see if Martino actually gets the start. it would be much more Arenaesque to bring him off the bench with 15-30 minutes to go in the game.

    hopefully.......
    .............Howard
    ....Dolo Gibbs Boca Hejduk
    ..............Pablo
    .....Stewart Beasley
    ...........Donovan
    ......Mathis Twellman

or, lets go 3-5-2 and up the stakes a bit.....

    ...........Howard
    .......Dolo Boca Gibbs
    .............Pablo
    .Stewart Convey Beasley
    ...........Donovan
    ......Mathis Twellman

yeah, I know Convey just played 48 hrs ago....if he doesn't have the legs after 45 bring on Martino...something tells me having two playmakers linking up behind the forwards could be lethal, at least it was in the dream I had last night! :)

Bruce said in an interview that this is more just for the experience of being with the team in a tournament for Martino and not as much as for PT. I don't see him starting.

Boca better play. If we lose this one I won't forgive Bruce and he'll lose my trust.

Boca is starting; he's quoted in an article in San Bernardino Sun newspaper as saying he's starting vs. Brazil
