As far as I can tell, this is no different than ESPN or Yahoo's Gamecasts. There is no live video feed, only scores and up-to-date commentary.
    Stick with Galavision and Telefutura.
Wish it was so, that's for sure---but unfortunately we're not there yet.

Re: Re: EuroSport coverage of ConFed Cup

If you look at another thread for this in this forum, you will ee that both apoo and I were able to watch the Argentina-Turkey match from the Toulon tournament live. Yes that's right live. Its listed in the same way as the listings is for the US-Turkey match and the rest of the US matches vs. Brazil and Cameroon. The only thing I worry about is that so many fans will be logging on that it might bog down the server.

I'd rather watch on Galavision at night and know for sure that its going to be on. I'd hate to be in the middle of the match and have the server crash. I'm also doing my best to stay away from BigSoccer so it doesnt get ruined. I'm sure some moron will screw that up and post it in an MLS area or something because an MLS player scored....

in the "about" section of the website it says that Eurosport tv is a cable tv channel. Are you sure this will be a webcast of the game and not just their regular tv listing?

For all intents and purposes yes. As I said above it was listed the same way the Argentina-Turkey match was listed in their listings meaning, they had the match highlighted in red and with a "LIVE" tag next to it. We'll find out more tomorrow with the France match, but I would be very surprised if this wasn't the case.

If I'm wrong I apologize I got excited.

But there has been precendence for this, I can remember twice when I've watched US national team matches on streams from the internet.

July 1, 2001 against Mexico in a WCQ and sometime last February the Gold Cup match against Canada. The korean feed was webcasting it after the Korean match was over with. So it has happened before and it is possible it could happen again, either way though we will get audio and that is a good thing.

I wouldn't be sure we will get audio. During the Toulon match today, there was no commentary, just the sounds of the game.

The good thing here is we will know tomorrow night just what is going on. If they show the France game, that will tell us whether they'll be showing the other games that have the red "live" designation next to them. I'm cautiously optimistic.

While this is true, I did listen to the audio of whatever they were broadcasting a little while ago. I think it was boxing. You can get the audio feed on their home page on the left. I think we should be able to get the audio at the very least. I was wondering though why there was no commentary to go along with the video for the game today...

I just surfed around the site a bit more, and you're right, you can get audio of whatever they're broadcasting. So, it looks good for audio. I also read a description of their "LIVE" service, and it sounds pretty similar to matchtracker. This makes me less optimistic about seeing them streaming the games. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm looking at EuroSports site this morning and it appears I was wrong, and we'll only get audio of the match. Could be worse.

Oh and the audio is up and running for the early game in the Toulon this morning Mexico-Colombia. Still wondering why they don't run it with the webcast.

I'm pretty positive now that we won't see any Confed Cup games on EuroSport. You can catch the tail end of the audio of the New Zealand-Japan game at 1:45 EDT, and an hour later can hear the whole match between France and Colombia.

    Audio is better than nothing.

Were you watching it via a webcast from Eurosport.com?

The EuroSport "match tracker" thing is so much better than USsoccer.com's.

EuroSport's hase personality and is a lot more fun to read.

    USsoccer.com

    43' SMITH goal

    EuroSport

10' NAKAMURA!!!!!!GOAL FOR JAPAN!!!!! Inamoto takes the ball in the midfield, he gives it to Takahara, a clever ball from Takahara on the left for Nakamura who scores with a low shot!
