Shame about Neto and Podence who are missing out via injury. Ricardo Pereira also doesn't look like his old self yet following his knee injury

Trincao did not make it. That was somewhat of a surprise given he started the season well with Barca.

Andre Gomes not making it is a disappointment. He had a really good season at Everton. He has come back from his injury, he has matured as a midfielder and would have helped the team tremendously.

Between Palhinha, Oliveira and Goncalves, you could have found two spots for Trincao and Gomes.

Shame about Ibrahimovic. He really took one for Milan. I thought he was going to save himself for the Euros and that Milan would miss a UCL place. I never thought he would go hard for them, but the way he played in the win over Juventus more or less secured them the UCL. Huge contrast from Cristiano who played like he didn't want to get hurt. That's the reason why Milan will qualify for the UCL next season and Juventus won't.

Gomes would never make it over Palhinha, he's just come off a great season with Sporting and is a much more mobile alternative to Carvalho and Danilo.

Trincao has been "eh" when called up for senior games (though plenty of time to develop) and wouldn't have gotten much game time, instead he's heavily involved in the U21s with Portugal facing Italy in the U21 Euro Qtr Finals end of this month

Impressing in the EPL and cementing a place there under Ancelotti is a bigger achievement than winning the Portuguese league against Benfica and Porto. No offense intended. Granted, I have not seen Palhinha play.

Some tough decisions for Southgate in terms of who to cut. Think that personally, the 7 getting the ax would be: Ramsdale, Godfrey, White, Watkins: those 4 were the easiest tbh (even if I like Watkins and Godfrey). After that is where things get difficult for me.
Trent, sorry not sorry is a no go for me as a RB (explained why previously): if he stays Trippier has to go then. Ward-Prowse: like him a lot but with Henderson back, no choice there unfortunately. Bellingham stays because he already showed this season he belongs, he's the future and even if he does not play at all, the exposure/experience alone will be good for him.
Last cut is Mings: if one of the CBs has to drop out (Maguire?), he'd probably be the one recalled although a very strong case can be made for Tomori imo (been terrific at Milan).

So the last box is a summary of the third place finishers. Got it.

Your group e results are interesting though. Not sure I agree with that.

I was surprised too. Once you download the sheet you have to fill out each game results. I tried to do it without trying to place teams in order, each game what I thought would happen.

So I agree that you agree that we do not agree on Group E results.

Tomorrow is D day. There are also rumors that Mase will be one of the 7 who won't make the cut as well, which will be disappointing, especially when considering how he finished the season.

I'm expecting Portugal to flop; We never perform well as heavy favourites, and Santos with his conservative tactics will restrict our team so much. William-Danilo- Moutinho midfield vs France/Germany coming right up.

France, Germany ( despite Low's struggles ), and England are favourites for me.

Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Croatia are darkhorses.

Understand that players are eager to play in intl tournaments but this is smart from Mase to think about his long term well being. Really wished Rashford would do the same tbh...
