I am still trying to get past the part where you think Harry Redknapp was paid megabucks to play in the NASL. Pele, yes. 'arry, no.
No we chose not to participate in an inferior and non-professional league and we chose not to participate in the first two seasons of MLS because of the name Nike wanted to slap on the team. How's the latest resurrection of the Rowdies working out?
Alright boys unzip and we can settle this once and for all. edit: But just so we are clear my Dad can beat up both of your dads.
And the fact that each team operator also "owns" a part of MLS complicates the issue. Or do I have that wrong, too? Aren't they all investors as well as operators?
Uh, yeah you did... Chicago Stingers ring a bell, or are you just like what you accuse 30000 Seattle fans of? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago_Stingers
Not really since I've never lived in Chicago. Maybe you could go and start a poll on the Fire board to determine, how many, if any of the current Fire fans were fans of the Stingers, whatever that was. Now, you'll get plenty of former Sting fans, and the Fire has had a couple of celebratory throwback nights for the Sting, but nobody paid dick amount of attention to the Stingers and that sham of a league.
The OP is trying to write something that makes sense about MLS and all you have to offer is your childlike "hatred" of the Sounders and their fans? Grow up.
