Appreciation post for Kepa Arrizabalaga! Another big performance & a clean sheet. This time on Europe’s biggest stage, thoroughly deserves his opportunity. Pleased for him. 🧤 pic.twitter.com/by4y71yped— Chris Wright 🏴 (@chriswrightzz) October 5, 2022
Yesterday, 30-year-old Josh Cohen kept a Champions League clean sheet against Juventus. He was born in Mountain View, CA and played D2 college soccer at UC San Diego before going to the USL Championship.
My wife is in Philly for a nurses conference. Her hotel is down the street from the EPL fan fest. Out of town fans started rolling in last night. Suffice to say the nurses were not impressed. A co-worker, "What the hell is this dork convention?!?!?" Kathleen had to explain to them that her husband is also a dork, just not an English dork. Like true heroes a group of them went to a bar after yesterday's conference to watch the end of the Phillies game and get true local flavor. Love a nurse today.
Maybe it's not having any coffee yet, but Nottingham's manager looks a little like an older and more disheveled Caleb Porter.
It insinuates that the players on the team aren't professionals. They have other jobs, like farming. This sometimes comes back to bite teams in the ass. Like when a select group of Roma twitter referred to the Norwegian league as a Norwegian Oil Drillers league, and then watched European Overlords Bodo/Glimt beat Roma 6-1. But, we won the European Trophy in the end.
Paramount+, CBS Sports Network will have live whiparound coverage of the late games and some individual game tape delays later tonight.
FWIW, CBS had some knockout round games last year. But yeah, Paramount+ is the official home if you follow the competition or a specific team.
It is better. The games wouldn’t have been available at all previously. At least now we have the opportunity to pay to watch.
Many but not all. And I am willing to pay to see every Chelsea game. Nothing was more frustrating than being forced to watch whatever game was on when my team was playing.
