Can we just play on Thursdays going forward? Shift the EPL to Thursday nights. Pyramid Pirlo with a worldie. How does Xhaka get in before him?
i specifically watched him. He didn’t look overawed. He had a nice touch on one play and a nice turn on another. He was tidy and got in a good tackle. ‘See you later’ - Miguel Azeez, probablypic.twitter.com/28F1Z0bznd— Top Bins Talk (@TopBinsTalk) December 10, 2020
Azeez is one of our bright prospects at CM. He is very highly rated by some at the club. The one thing that has held him back is that he has concentration lapses. He's showing signs that he's outgrowing those however, and he's been rewarded with his debut. Really he has all the attributes but as always, the mental aspect will be the deciding factor.
Training with Partey consistently could help in this department. Now to just get Partey consistently training...
Short time on the pitch and first time I’ve seen him (though I was definitely interested in him based on some hype), but I thought Azeez leapt off the screen. Looks like a real prospect.
Azeez, cotrill and balogan are our top u-18/u23 talents I heard John jules is supposed to be a good forward too
Not sure where else to post this, but Arsenal have drawn Benfica in the first knockout round. First leg is Feb 18th.
I thought we had played Benfica in recent memory, but upon looking it up it seems we haven’t done that for 30 years! And that was the only time. 1991 European cup tie, which we lost.
. . . . . . . . . so arteta can not play him as well. i still like the dude's potential and hopes he succeeds but this gives me nasty flashbacks to wenger where he would play the hell out of someone when their contract was about up so they would re-sign then, once that was done, go back to ignoring them.
And we need to sell. He and Balogun have the same agent. One of them is going to go. Balogun has more potential and Nketiah is worth more right now.
I'm not arguing the point - but who would be an example of that? I'm old and my memory is getting grim.
old age sucks. :-D when he needed to reup theo, theo got to play up front . . . because he wanted to be a striker. then went back to be sometimes/mostly winger. merida, i think, was the other one that came to mind.
If we can I’d agree, but it seems unlikely given the agent situation. He’s going to want to cash in on a new contract for one and a sale for the other. It’d be hard for him to convince both that Arsenal is the place where they belong and have a chance to be the guy.
