A Bola is reporting that Cristian Rodriguez tore a muscle in his leg and will miss the rest of the season. AVB will have to choose between James and Varela for the EL Final, I guess. Tough luck for the player and the club, especially since Sunday is our last home game of the season. It would have been nice for the fans to say goodbye to Rodriguez, who will probably leave this summer.
He's been a good servant to the club and a hard-working player. I think leaving is best for him though. Even if we do sell Hulk this summer, we still have Varela, James, Djalma, and Iturbe next year as wide options.
