This is it, the only chance for either club to salvage something from what has been a shit-show of a season. Will we see Neo-Pragmatic Vegemite who has scraped by some mediocre teams or the vainglorious sod who has made history as the worst ever PL manager the club has seen?

There was a time when we were a cup club, but we have lost our last 4 finals without scoring a goal. But not to worry, Vegemite ALWAYS wins a trophy in his second season so that's good enough for me.

    EPL 17 v. EPL 16

In the EPL, Spurs have more goals for, more goals against, and a greater goal difference.
Beat Man U in the EFL cup.
    Beat Man U away
    Beat Man U at home.

    Looks good.

Who will win the cherry on this turd of a season?

It would be Spursy to win, but also Spursy to not win.

    I predict a win

Oddly enough, im not shitting it (yet, at least). This result will be the difference between - by silverware standards - our best season in over 30 years, or simply our worst in even longer. And yet i was far more nervous going into Frankfurt. That's not saying I think we'll win it - I'd put it at 50/50. But I'm calm.

Probably wont be come Wednesday, tough.

I saw Paul Scholes saying he thought we'd probably out play them all day, but - them being United and us being us - they'll probably nick it. I could see that, to be fair.

Taking the full day off, if I am to wallow in misery, I shall do so in the comfort of my own home.

    The Hypocrisy of Vegemite

After going out of the League Cup last season after fielding a weakened squad at Fulham:

“I’m here because I want to create a club that has the opportunity to win things on a yearly basis. There’s a difference. Us winning a Carabao Cup and finishing 10th is not what I think this club is about.”

After the November international break this season:

“I could be going: ‘Let’s just win a trophy this season and everything will be fine. But if we win a trophy, finish 10th and five games into next year I get sacked – not that it’s about me – but then the club has to change direction again. So have you really done anything? I don’t think so. It’s not going to be one simple thing that opens the floodgates.”

In the buildup to the Europa League final with the club sitting in 17th:

“My view was that’s what I’ll get judged on. I could have been sitting here fifth last year, fifth this year … and maybe people wouldn’t be waiting for the white smoke to see if it’s my last season. But they’d still be saying: ‘That’s great, Ange. But it’s been done before. Until the club wins something, you haven’t made an impact.’ I kind of knew throughout my tenure last year that that’s what I was going to be judged on.”

So, according to Vegemite, winning a trophy and a terrible league finish was not what this club is about, but now that he has finished 17th, winning a trophy is everything and to hell with the league finish.

    Which one is it, Vegemite?

Honestly, what the hell do you expect? Shit's gone spectacularly wrong, its all unraveled, and he's got one thread to hang on to. So he's trying to put a positive spin on a shit situation. It's like you wont be happy unless he comes right out and says, "I'm shit, you know!". You realize he does still have to manage the squad for at least one more game. And he's got to do pressers and he's got to respond to questions. So yeah, its not pretty. But little of this season has been. What do you want?

And whatever you do, mate, please don't answer that. It's a rhetorical question. We've got a cup final in less than 24 hours. Can we not just put the all-encompassing negativity on hold long enough to enjoy a realistic chance at our first European trophy in 40+ years? Please?

I really don't understand why you defend him, but that's your prerogative.

All I ask is a little honesty from the gaffer and not to insult the intelligence of the supporters.

Again, you confuse facts with negativity. Pointing out somebody's hypocritical comments is not negative.

Is he not fit or has fallen off with Ange.

Go Spurs! I'm not joking I'm rooting for you guys vs United.

I don't live in North London to care enough for the consequences. No neighbours, no siblings no workmates to rub it in infact I only know one Spurs fan and he's not a moron.

Instead, in Kenya, we have a lot of United fans who never shut up. They would say they had a worse season than us but still won a European trophy and they wouldn't be wrong.

And I guess this Spurs BS blog has some decent chaps as well so hey. Why not.

Anyway for real, and I'll only say this once, COYS

    HT 1-0 Spurs.

We lead on a Luke Shaw own goal, after Sarr's cross diverted off Johnson and then off Shaw's arm into the goal.
