Quick counter attacking works better then playing the ball with our own goalie

    1-0 Giroud

CHO gets a goal, tight angle from the right, just blast low and hard.

also, i just love watching RLC play. he's such a great blend of power and grace, you can't believe how quick his feet are for his size sometimes.

This just reiterates for me that both CHO and RLC are talented enough and need to play. Even Hazard isn't as direct as CHO most of the time and no midfielder we have is as good going forward as RLC is.

Be ready to see Jorginho and Alonso this weekend though.

Luiz, Alonso, Jorginho, Pedro, Higuain, and Hazard.

I don't dislike Jorginho like others do, I just think he gets hung out to try by our style and his limitations. He was good today.

Alonso and Luiz are my biggest frustrations though outside of a total lack of any RLC and CHO.

    ....it was Malmo....

...but you gotta take the chances you're given and CHO has proven himself to play at the next level. Seeing him subbed on against City would be a welcome sight.

I don't give a flying ******** if it was Gillingham. He played well. Made mistakes, grew into the game. Cares.

    He deserves more opportunities.

Agree on Jorginho but thought Kovacic threw in quite a few tackles and kept us safe in the middle. I would start him over Jorginho against City but we all know that won't happen.

Ah, and Willian played well for what its worth :)

First half was what I've come to expect from him. Second half was totally different. He's pretty good when he can run. I like Kovacic in the role today. He's more athletic.

also RLC has been injured. but yes, all RLC all the time. i'm would assume he'll be eased back in though. but he's my choice over both Barkley and Kovacic.

Sad to hear that Sarri believes we were in trouble for the first 30 minutes because Jorjinho wasn't on the field.

It doesn't matter who plays that position, the system doesn't work with absorbing a high press and static attack. He just doesn't recognize this.

game changers. . . That was a nice free kick from Barkley. That kid has talent. CHO and RLC obviously have talent.

Kante is amazing. Seriously a player. Nothing "confused" about Kante whatever manager he plays for.

Why was Zola not on the bench tonight?Where was he?

Sarri ball is misleading. Hazard is the best player in the prem. Hazard is one of the best players in the world. Jorghino? Jorghino is not the player you build a team around. Man City dont have a player as good as Hazrad. So. Come the final. We have the cards - how do we play them?

The team looks like they're begging to be freed from this Sarri ball. Watching RLC, Odi and Amapdu all on the same side was pleasing to watch and exciting again.

Could set us on a tear if they got freed up. Sarri's future is in his hands imo

If sarri books the travel we'd fly between london and Rome about 500 times and every 10th trip venture as far as Warsaw before coming back to london. We'd eventually wind up in the vicinity of the Ukraine before missing the landing and ending up in Odesa.

Total distance traveled, 2.1 million miles but we'd have at least a 90% possession of those seats on the plane.

Imagine this team playing a 4-3-3, Kante sitting, Barkley and Kovacic given more freedom in midfield, Eden and Odoi on the wings.. man.. IMAGINE

no man city don't have a player as good as hazard, they have 5 players almost as effective as hazard. and none of them have to carry an entire team by themselves. also they understand what system they are playing in.

you could literally line that team up and not give them any instruction at all and they would probably be better off right now. as long as Sarri WASN'T actually telling them what to do, they'd be fine.
