Ruben Dias, that guy who plays for citeh.
Antonio Silva and Ignacio, two guys who are linked to us.
    Is Pepe still playing?

Love that England squad. Don't know if they'll win, they really should have beaten Italy last time around, but I really like what Southgate is doing. All those options in attack to spell Saka & Harry, who have been run into the ground lately, feels smart.

well, from a purely selfish viewpoint, I like that neither Jones not Konate will be part of the English squad. Thank you Gareth. :)

Gareth Southgate has announced that Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah is still with England and on standby for Euro 2024 after failing to make the final 26-man squad

    I feel bad for CuJo.

But he needs a rest, particularly with injury history.

I feel bad - but the last 2 months of the season he really never got going due to the injury. I think he was guaranteed on the squad pre-injury.

Same thing happened to Maddison and Grealish more or less.

I think Grealish suffered more from the curse of oil money. In pretty much every other club in the world, he’s a nailed on starter. But City went out and spent an oil tanker on Doku, who to be fair had an excellent season. But that’s what Guardiola does.

It’s not a question of having Robertson with Tsimikas as a backup, no City usually have Stones with VVD as a backup. Grealish lost a bit of form, got injured and suddenly he’s Kalvin Phillips. Inasmuch as going to Chelsea is a ridiculous notion these days, often it’s the same going to City.

So many top flight decent players who would walk into other sides have gotten lost on the wasteland that is the City subs’ bench.

Doku Nunes and Grealish is a huge waste of 200m.

Alvaraz, Akanji and Kovacic have all had bigger impacts on their season and cost them like 70m.

Could you imagine if we'd signed a winger for 100m who was only scoring 5 goals a season? Diaz gets more stick from Liverpool fans than Grealish does City fans despite costing half what Grealish did.

City fans have (quickly) learned not to give a rat's shit what their players cost.

What he was doing on a pitch I'm not sure can be classed as defending. More liek constant pre-meditated failed manslaughter... ;)

Phillips really screwed himself by going there.

madison isn;t as weird as some might think. They already have bellingham and Foden. It's most conceivable that later in games one of these rests the other and running winger (Gordon, Eke, Palmer) comes on. Hence the need for a game-changing play-maker is diminished.
This allows for Trent on the bench as a totally different deeper playmaking option if necessary.

A lot of players have rued signing for City. Phillips isn’t the only one to disappear down the rabbit hole.

But fear not! City are fighting the Premier League elites by spending £0.5bn every off season to vacuum up talent such as Grealish, Phillips, Aké et al. to stop other sides from getting them, paying them a king’s ransom a nod selling them on to Colchester and Troyes 2 years later.

That's how you stick it to the man!

Can you imagine if they win their PL lawsuit? They’ll legitimately be able to park the likes of Nunez, Gakpo, Jota, VVD, TAA and Alisson on the bench.

If they where to win the lawsuit they would be the second best team in the PL because that would open the Newcastle floodgates

Maybe, but would it really matter? Depending on spending priorities, it’d be either them or Newcastle. Until one oil sheikh or the other got tired of his plaything. But what you definitely would have would be all the world’s best players being bought up by two teams (3, if you include PSG).

My guess is that if City win their lawsuit, capped squad sizes will go, and then you’d have City and Newcastle and everyone else would be Fulham or worse.
