Belgium's front six will be pretty good, but won't have a steady back 4, kinda like England.

If Vertongen plays at CB they will. Unless they've gotten a legit LB that can cover.

Thank you Shay Given. Will have to wait until the World Cup before I am older than every player in every squad.

Croatia are always hard to beat. And they have two of the best in Modric and Rakitic.

Zagreb produced most of the squad. Must be one of the top academies in Europe.

Definitely is. They usually dominate the squads Croatia picks at all of their youth levels.

This could be one of the better Croatian squads they've ever produced. They have other players to cover around Modric. Defense looks like it's their main concern though.

They have 8 players that are eligible for their U21's. 3 players have never been capped before.

Euro 2016: Diego Costa, Juan Mata & Fernando Torres not in Spain squad

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been left out of Spain's provisional squad for Euro 2016.

Vicente del Bosque has also overlooked Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata and Atletico Madrid's former Liverpool and Chelsea forward Fernando Torres.

Holders Spain are in Group D, along with Croatia, Czech Republic and Turkey as they chase a third successive European Championship title.

Costa has scored one goal in 10 appearances for Spain.

The 27-year-old missed Chelsea's last two games of the season due to a persistent hamstring injury.

Bayern Munich defender Javi Martinez and Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla are other notable omissions, while coach Del Bosque has included Athletic Bilbao's 35-year-old striker Aritz Aduriz.

There were also call-ups for uncapped pair Saul Niguez of Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid's Lucas Vazquez.

The Premier League-based players are: Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, Chelsea trio Pedro, Cesar Azpilicueta and Cesc Fabregas and Manchester City playmaker David Silva.

    Squad
Goalkeepers: Iker Casillas (Porto), David De Gea (Manchester United), Sergio Rico (Sevilla)

Defenders: Jordi Alba, Gerard Pique, Marc Bartra (all Barcelona), Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal (Real Madrid), Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea), Juanfran (Atletico Madrid)

Midfielders: Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta (both Barcelona), David Silva (Manchester City), Mikel San Jose (Athletic Bilbao), Koke, Saul Niguez (both Atletico Madrid), Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea), Thiago Alcantara (Bayern Munich), Isco (Real Madrid), Bruno Soriano (Villarreal)

Forwards: Pedro Rodriguez (Chelsea), Alvaro Morata (Juventus), Aritz Aduriz (Athletic Bilbao), Nolito (Celta Vigo), Lucas Vazquez (Real Madrid)

I wonder who will play right back for Germany. Looking at the squad I have no idea. It was a real weakness for them in our friendly and a few of their qualifiers that I watched. I wonder if there is a theory as to why they are lacking full backs but very strong in other areas.

Yeah, fair point, not sure why they have him down as a midfielder.

Boateng could, but he's pretty much a CB only player now. I'd say Can, Mustafi, or Rudy. A little surprised Jonathon Tah didn't get in. Not surprised that Mertesacker didn't get in. He's more of a liability.

I can see why Del Bos left out Costa, but leaving out Mata and Torres is stupid. Torres has reinvented himself at Athletico Madrid, while Mata is a versatile, highly skillful winger/CAM.

Youngest player is 19 and then the next youngest is 25. Pretty experienced/old squad they got. Do they have any pace what so ever?

There goes their best flair player and arguably their best attacker.

I think Turkey look good enough to go forward in the Euros. Tough group, but they pass very well and will have a big following.

Pirlo left out of the Italy squad. Too bad cause I was looking forward to seeing him, but he has no legs.
