I was very disappointed in the body language of Mueller and Schweini

Mueller needs to get his shit together with no Gomez

    Agree.

Hummels is essentially the deep lying play maker. Lots of great balls over the top.

    Fab positioning.

Also at 90kg he has the necessary beef

at least he helped the team get this far with 2 goals and starting the Italy goal, that's a contribution in all 3 games he started for us. He did his job now it's time for other players to step up and try to contribute up top, like Muller, Gotze, Schurrle depending on who plays.

Our safest option will be to play Mustafi Hoewedes Boa and hector at back with Kimmich and Kroos as double six, with Goetze , Draxler and Oezil as AM , and Muller upfront....
    Or
Bring in Weigl (like his stats above) and leave Mustafi Out

Anyway, France conceded two goals against Iceland, and it could have been more as they had other clear chances. We surely can take advantage of that.

    Agreed

Kimmich has played so well its tempting to leave him where he is

I agree. Germany needs it's players to be tough mentally to win the tournament, both looked weak and fragile in their body language. Why?

Müller always struck me as a winner, so his recent form and lack of confidence is a bit of a shock tbh. Hopefully he steps up and delivers now.

    Low talks potential lineup
No Kimmich in midfield and Low said exactly what I think is one of the biggest problems of Draxler, no consistency.

To be clear, my belief is that the pressure is immense and anyone can miss.

Mueller has recently missed a string of big spot kicks.

Basti has missed two huge kicks.

    Ozil missed his last 2

Look at this one. He never looked like scoring it IMO

But we know they have the right mindset to win big games.

I suspect loew will be defensive and play on the counter for this one.

also more from Low on Can
seems like Can is the most likely Basti/Khedira replacement.

And why shouldn't he bring in Can? As long as he only receives a single yellow card in the semifinal, he can butcher the French midfield as much as he wants. Maybe we need his physical presence to free up Kroos and Özil. Vidal works quite well in that role for Bayern. Can is able to do that.

IS CAN a true 6 ... Could he actually play behind say Kroos and oezil , or is he more of a double 6 kinda player?

so seems like Can is in for Khedira, Howedes seems to be Hummels's replacement and now all that's left is the Gomez replacement.

Overall, I think Weigl might be the more complete midfielder, but I think Can compliments Kroos better.

Can has the speed, strength, and tackling ability to recover and recycle possession back to Kroos, essentially do all the dirty work for Kroos that will allow Kroos to shine and spray the ball around up to his full potential and make the German midfield better.

Can has played 6 under Klopp all season long and not bad. Including a Europa league final. He is up to the task. The only problem I see is he hasnt played a single minute yet
