Sure, but every nation and every team, club footy, NFL, Cricket, hockey, rugby has arrogant fans. Germany doesn't have any more pr any less than other nations or teams.

I've met fans all around the world, different nationalities and different sports. many or most, very pleasant...others, you just want to finish your beer and move to the other side of the pub.

This is not just a German thing, please...

This is just online banter after a nice, intense match after finally beating Italy. I wouldn't take it too seriously. There is a rivalry between the teams and the fans but overall the relationship is ok. You could see it yesterday with Germans and Italians sitting next to each other in the stadium without any problems. No comparison to other match ups.

As for those being able to take Gomez' place, besides some promising young actual striker talents that still need time (Selke might be the first of those), I had hopes for Volland and Kruse as alternatives with better technical abilities and smart decision making (in the case of Kruse at least on the field). But they need to step it up or we need to hope that Gomez can still play like this in 2018.

I see...it sucks when your best striker it's a di** and there is nothing you can do about it.

Hope the next one (for both Germany and Italy) wont end up like Balotelli.

Jamie Vardy would be far and away the best striker on your team.

I notice that, watching the match live.

Do you guys have faith in Draxler? Doesnt look to well under pressure as of now. Sure didnt play at his best in this Euro, he can do better.

Leceister came out of nowhere...something that would never happen in the Bundesliga. Plus you also have Tottenham and Arsenal who genuinely contend for the league most years.

Borussia Dortmund won the league few years ago, Juventus dominates in Italy more than Bayern in Germany.

I have no problem with Germany winning at football. I was happy you guys won the WC and beat Italy last night. I have a couple of good friends who are German and have visited there a few times. I have to say the German people are some of the friendliest people I've ever met.

Lol this guy... everything you post that I have been reading has more to do with name calling and posts that have race intertwined with football.

Granted this thread is for the Germany- Italy game but let's not start calling people out due to his or her nationality

This is a football forum not a forum discussing racial divides and differences

Not England's fault that they had a shit manager who was totally clueless. They need a manager with the balls to drop Rooney. If Vardy and Rashford had started against Iceland they would've easily have won.

Racial pettiness aside, I just don't know why people who don't support Germany come to the German football forum to spew bullshit and then complain that the Germany football fans are arrogant? Yes, there are annoying posts from Germany fans, but this is not a United Nations meeting.

Leicester was a good story but I can counter that with Kaiserslautern's title right after promotion.

yeah, I agree why do so many people who aren't Germany fans come here is beyond me. Every big team has their own subforum you guys can go there, instead of coming here and being like "France will beat Germany" or the Italian team will be stronger in WC 18.....

Because the BL has a genuine perennial CL contender in Bayern. Before Bayern became that, teams came out of nowhere all the time in the BL. And saying that Tottenham and Arsenal genuinely contend for the league is like saying Schalke and Bayer Leverkusen genuinely contend for the league; it isn't really true when it comes down to it.
