so let me get this straight ... lead the group. 3 clean sheet, win twice, no reds, no injuries .. hmmm yeah loew is crab and this is the worst team germany ever had
Most fans would have picked Kimmich at rb and Gomez up front straight from the first game, not waited till the third. Why does it take 2 games for Löw to work this out?
Finally Kimmich is played in a position that makes sense, and he delivered. Great first half. For the second half, I can't understand why Müller was moved back to the right after Germany created so many chances in the first half and Müller assisted Gomez's goal playing through the middle. With Müller on the right for almost the entire 2nd half the chances mostly dried up again. Götze proved again there is no reason to start him.
it's pretty funny, before the Euros, everyone was like Germany's strength is their attack and their defense is their weakness but after 3 matches it's the complete opposite for us.
They have controlled every game and did what is necessary. This is a tournament team who will turn it on to the max when necessary. To many games to try 100 percent at all times.
Seriously, take a break. So tired of your bitching posts and looking down at others while trying to make yourself like a genius. Never used that ignore function, but really close now.
Gomez "my job was to throw myself against those two oxes in defense we saved the goals for the ko stage many chances were outplayed well"
Löw "Im not satisfied with the result we shouldve been up 4:0 by half time we shouldve have been more urgent the runs in the final third were more but still not quite good so we had to play more secure in the 2nd half Boateng had problems with the calf and we didnt want to take the risk Kimmich was decent and delivered decent crosses Gomez was dangerous binding two opposite players" Jogi is on fire
The attack looked much better but the finishing was dreadful. Credit to Gomez for breaking thru but Mueller, Ozil & Goetze have got to finish. Most disappointed in Mueller as he's known for finishing his chances. Defense was never really tested. Anyway, group is won by a whisker and we live to fight another day. I'd keep the same lineup for the next opponent.
Kimmich "We were really good in the 1st half We shoulve scored more goals Löw told me yesterday I would play today Everybody helped me and Im grateful for that"
Gomez had good movements and actually shot on target and helped drag defenders to him, which was good as it allowed the team to attack better and move more freely.
I'm feeling much better after this game than I was after the first 2. Sure, we should've scored more, but if we keep playing like this then the goals will come eventually - and, more importantly, our defense was pretty solid. Hard to argue with 3 clean sheets.
It was a good performance, credit to Löw for making some changes. Hopefully for the next match he will keep Müller in the middle with the same lineup and swap Draxler/Schürrle/Sané in for Götze. It was good to see that Schweinsteiger can play 20 minutes at a high level if needed. Kimmich is a good option at RB.
Convincing performance, not a convincing result. Muller was great today, unlucky not to score. Ozil was again, a non-factor. Gotze was good on the left and as soon as he was taken off, the attack lost steam. Hector shouldn't start in my opinion he was the only negative to this performance. Dreadful crosses, horrible first touches, amateur decision making. Overall, this was a satisfying display but they have to get better at finishing.
Özil initiated the 1-0 with his through ball on Müller, had a great chance by himself some minutes later, a good chance from distance and a good interception right before the own box. He moved quite well and worked good in offense and defense. How can this be called a "non-factor"?
