Which is funny because the majority of that team does the opposite for the club.

Woow, what a game this was last night. Starting up like a rocket in the first 25 minutes, that was he performance we all wanted to see since the EC started. The offensive work was done much better then before, hell there were even real combinations  The 1-1 equalizer was plain stupid leaving Bendtner with Schweinsteiger in the Box and Krohn-Dehli with his enormous height all alone infront of Neuer - a mistake that can not happen at this level of play, embarrassing. The Game lamed a little bit after that and it was once again showing, that we wanted to pass and combine the ball torwards the defenders into the net...not a good idea with an opponent who obviously parks the bus. I also wonder why the hell no-One is trying to shoot from outside the box? That´s beyond me. Is this an official banned action from Jogi or what? We have Schwein, Özil, Poldi who all have an decent shot, so why not try when you can´t find another way past the defense?

One thing to Bender: he did really good, should play RB more often. He had a couple of shaky moments defensively, but nothing to worry. Nonetheless, I´d field Jerome in the Greece match.

I can´t understand that big fuss about Özil. What are people expecting? Özil carrying the whole match and perform a magic pass every 2 minutes? He was getting covered very well by Kvist and still managed to walk him many times and trying to find the missing link up front. He dribbles, he passes and he holds the ball much better then our flank runners IMO and he always draws attention on him to create space. And im also down on the "he works better with Klose" bandwagon. Klose is much faster then Gomez and loves to play short-passes with Özil form some tricky combinations...shit doesn´t work with Gomez since he is an complete different striker, which doesn´t compliment Özil´s game much.

Goal.com have Podolski as man of the match and look at what they wrote about his performance :

What a joke they are. So he scored a goal but apart from that he did ******** all and they know it and still give him MOTM. Just wow...

I just watched the highlights. Hahaha at Neuer ..... 25 metres away from goal and dribbling past a Danish player. He is the ********ing boss. Seriously though what the ******** was that ?
Also Badstuber ....... oh my god ...... that was a penalty and a red card and Germany out. Thank God and the Spanish ref for saving the players from humiliation.
Why was/were Bender and/or Schweini marking Bendtner for the goal? Hummels being great in the air should have been next to Bendtner on set pieces.
I saw some great combination play in attack by Khedira,Oezil,Schweini and Mueller.

Decent analysis by Dixon and Seedorf on the match in the last 4-5 min of the highlights :

Probably this big help by the ref is a sign that Germany will finally win the whole thing. Luck is on their side. :)

That's impressing every time again although it's also very hard to enter about 6 hours before the match starts to get a good place (as I did at the EC2008). We've sat in the middle of the street in the burning sun for hours and drinking red wine lol. That was my last expirience there but great pics every tournament again if you ask me.

Did it in Stuttgart in '06.

I bet it was worth baking in the sun all day and only having wine to hydrate....that's dedication! :p

The ref was probably told before the match that he should leave the yellow and red cards in his pocket, if he want to have a chance to get another match this tourney. That obviously helped us in this scene, even though I think Bendtner at first pulled Badstuber´s shirt and Badstuber did the same then. Not sure though since they afterwards only showed the end of the duel. But yes could have been a red for us and a penalty for Denmark.

Oh and btw Podolski man of the match is a joke. Makes you wonder if the UEFA guys deciding that are even watching the match. Personally I had Khedira as man of the match. Really impressed by him so far this tourney.

This is what happens when you use zonal defense on set pieces. You would think that Loew had learned his lesson after the 2010 semifinal defeat.

I'm not sure what other people are seeing, but Oezil has been far below his normal level so far in this tournament. His attitude and work ethic seem to be total shit as well. I'm not impressed in the least.

Kroos played extremely well when he came on. It's too bad that with the amount of talent we have, he will rarely start matches.

Well definitely agree on the attitude level. He seems to become upset quite easily if things are not going his way directly. Hmm in a way Özil is Khedira´s antipole when it comes to attitude and work ethic...
but well at least he shouldn´t be too tired and spend in the knock out phase now.;)

I got the distinct feeling that almost the entire team was conserving energy for the knock out stages. Schweini and Lahm on the other hand have been all over the pitch in both offensive and defensive roles. Honestly I can't believe the amount of running the two of them have done.

I just hope they don't burn out.

Well especially Schweinsteiger was exhausted after the last match. I think the lower temperatures in Poland and short travel to our next matches will certainly help us in that department though.

Especially since the team base is in Danzig. Travel distances from there to places like Kharkov are pretty far. I'm surprised they didn't just base the team in Germany. Its not like Danzig is deep into Poland.

He is a fan favorite therefore excuses will constantly be made out that most of the team scream of "fanboy/girl". He's been average in the first two games but last match he was a lot more lively in attack.

I have to say defensively he is ********ing shite though, no wonder Bayern's midfield dominated Madrid's. He is like a feather and still scared of fighting for any 50/50 balls.

oezil works well with Klose, once he came on Oezil was able to cause all kinds of trouble and assisted the goal that got us all 3 points.

I still am more convinced by Klose than Gomez, and I think Oezil will share that same feeling.

And you dont think Oezil ability to make that assist was due to the fact the the Danes decided to attack and left openings at the back?
