I really want cassano to play in the euro cup,i just dont want good talent to go to waste, every time i see him he get better and better, well i hope he will get along with teamates and Doniadoni.
Portieri: Christian Abbiati, Marco Amelia, Gianluigi Buffon. Difensori: Andrea Barzagli, Fabio Cannavaro, Dario Dainelli, Fabio Grosso, Massimo Oddo, Manuel Pasqual, Cristian Zaccardo, Gianluca Zambrotta. Centrocampisti: Massimo Ambrosini, Daniele De Rossi, Gennaro Gattuso, Marco Marchionni, Simone Perrotta, Andrea Pirlo, Franco Semioli. Attaccanti: Emiliano Bonazzoli, Antonio Cassano, David Di Michele, Alberto Gilardino, Filippo Inzaghi, Tommaso Rocchi. this is the full squad selected for both qualifiers and yes Cassano's there.
VEry satisfied with this squad except for maybe Zaccardo, Rocchi, and Ambrosini. I like Ambrosini and all, and I do agree that he could add some needed depth to the midfield, but when you think about the fact that someone like Maresca or even Diana were left at home in favour of this guy it is really quite puzzling.
This game has just become that much more difficult for us -- looks like Makelele is going to play in this one, unfortunately. I still think we can pull it off though. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/5291486.stm
* SIGH * the problem with having so many boards discussing the same thing. Roma NYC, check the Lithuania game board
Looks like TLN has picked up this game in Canada. At least we are NOT forced to watch it on French TV.
sweet. Just gotta get word of the Lithuania game. If not, I'll just have to go to my uncles house to watch it on RAI
thanks. Either way works for me. now I just have to hope a couple of other NT's around the continent fail and Italia wins and I will be a happy person.
Will this game be on RAI in the US? I know RAI picks up most home games but I wasn't sure about the away ones...
All indications are that this match will NOT be on RAI International. TLN in Canada and Setanta in the US are showing it, along with French-language channel TV5.
What about American channels such as Fox Soccer Channel, or GolTV? I don't have Setanta. Am I doomed to not watch it? Is there a site where I can at least hear it live?
They're all competing networks, so once one network (in this case Setanta) has bought the rights to the game, the others won't be able to show it. MAYBE FSC or GolTV or perhaps Telemundo will have it on tape delay a few days later. I don't know about webfeeds. If you can understand Italian, I'm certain there will at least be a live audio stream available.
I can understand Italian, it's just that I would have rather preferred to see it on television instead of listening to it on an audio stream. But I did hear that RAI struck big in winning rights to the Euro 2008... I can't find the article off of UEFA.com though.
I believe that was the domestic rights - to show the game in Italy. That doesn't mean the tournament will be shown on RAI International.
The game will be shown on RAI International. Thank goodness. http://www.international.rai.it/tv/palinsesti/canale1/20060902.shtml
I see the listing for the Lithuania game on that page, as I would expect for Sept 2. Is that what you mean?
Convincing my mother to agree with my father on moving back to Italy would be the better decision. I love the SKY ITALIA sport announcers.
So I mistook the thread I was on SueB, my apologies to all. To paraphrase one of my favorite lines from a movie...you are all now dumber for having heard me speak.
