A very good squad indeed. We need our A players and hopefully from the WC squad. A rematch in France and winning would be icing on the cake.

Funny how this game will be televised on TV5 both in the US and Canada. I guess we have to watch it in french .

Juve officially presented him today but finalized the deal on Monday I think.

Thuram never officially retired though he was leaning that way. Same goes for Makelele

This might be an even tougher French team to defeat simply because Old Zidane is no longer there. The team will now be centered around Henry and if the coach uses his head and starts Trezeguet Italy could be in trouble since France is further along at this point with their league and the EPL already underway.

Rai international in the past has not shown some away games. I remember the Norway qualifier ( the last game Cassano started ) not being televised.
Though I would not panick yet as they still could pick up the game.

TV5 is channel # 145 on Bell Expressvu. Not sure what it is on Rodgers or Starchoice. Bell is the only option available for me here in Pennsylvania.

Looking at the French squad--we're going to need Cassano(Did anyone see the pass he made to Ruud yesterday? My god that boy has a wand on his foot)

RAI would be stupid not to show it, but it's not the first time...

I think it's a matter of financials. They may not be able to afford to buy the rights to show it overseas.

I'm pretty sure that Mekelele officially announced his retirement after the World Cup Final.....

    Thuram too....

Domenech probably begged them to stay, I wouldn't be surprised if Zidane showed up.

well it wasnt official.. both players were about to announce their retirement...they did announce that they were going to retire after the world cup, but they didnt put their words into action. they did retire after the euro cup, but because france was unable to beat teams like israel and ireland, then makelele zidane and thuram came back. domenech included them anyway in his squad. thuram was planning on it sooner or later...makelele did announce his retirement actually but still got called up. I would love for Zidane to come back for this one but he is suspended. I have no doubts about our azzurri team.

Domenech is horrible. He claims he is not, but he is threatening Makelele. That's really terrible to do.

I have no doubts about the Azzurri either, France can have Zidane, we can beat them. It's not really fair to threaten club suspension when he's declared his retirement.

Oh well, it just shows how incompetent Domenech is as France's coach. I would love to see a victory in Stade-de-France on the 6th, there wouldn't be any more questions on who should be the World Cup winner for 2006.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that RAI will be covering every Italia qualifying game. I look to see if I can get a source.

It's also going to be shown live on Setanta, which I think means it's not likely to be on RAI.

Usually when a game is on Setanta it means that RAI won't show it. 2 examples:

Norway v. Italy and Scotland v. Italy euro qualifiers.
