Or should I say Match Amical Ukraine v. France...

    November 21 20:30 CET
    NSC Olympiyskiy Stadium Kiev, Ukraine

Raymond is trying to make a point apparently, so I don't think we will see the lazy kick about that I expected.

Hopefully he roused up the troops, and they will come out firing to end the qualifiers with a win. With the pressure off their backs, I want some attacking creative ball from the guys. Well as attacking and creatively as they can play on permafrost. If Raymond is to be taken seriously the full team will be run out.

    Landreau
    Clerc Gallas Thuram Abidal
    Ribery Keke Diarra Rothen
    Henry Benzema

You wanna see attacking football but have Lele and Diarra in centre ? :D

I hope we take this game seriously too , no matter who we're playing , if it's a friendly or not , I ALWAYS want our team to win !

So I'll be really pissed off if we don't .

Well I personally would not put them both in the middle, i would have nasri in place of diarra. But Domenech rarely does what I instruct him to, unfortunately.

Personally, I would rather go back to a 4-5-1 with more attacking midfielders. but why would Raymond do that? He is in love with his defensive midfielders. I really hope we see some fluent and fast passing football. We tend to lose imagination with his defensive midfielders. Anyhow let's win this one!

    ALLEZ LES BLEUS!!!

For Wednesday, November 21 -You may think that you are judged by the company you keep, but that is not necessarily true. Today, don't worry about people making assumptions about who you are based on who you are with -- your true personality is too potent to camouflage, and will shine brightly through boring meetings, dull meals, and meaningless small talk. Be confident that by being the person you want to be one hundred percent of the time, you are encouraging other people to do the same.

I'd say Raymond would take heart from his horoscope and put out a winning side to stick it to The Man, notably being Gattuso.

1-0 France. With the winner coming from...Benzema.

l'équipe's crystal ball says frey will start at GK. other than that we should see the A team.

Good. Landreau has not impressed me on tv, and he certainly didn't impress me in person.

If he's going to use 2 DMs, I hope he puts Toulalan instead of Diarra.

Selon L'Équipe, Ray a dit que la position de gardien de but reste hiérarchique: « Le grand problème des gardiens de but, c'est que pour prendre la place de quelqu'un, il faut que l'autre meure avant. »

I don't expect to see Frey, although I'm not impressed with Landreau either.

PS: Does anyone know if TV5 is broadcasting the game?

Looks like its Frey in net after all, with Govou and Ribery on the wings. Nasri is Not behind Benzema as the lone striker. Henry is in beside him.

It is on TV5 here in Canada right now. The stadium in Kiev looks about 1/4 full at best. It looks like they did a pretty poor version of la Marseille.

"L'Ukraine n'a jamais battu la France en quatre matches depuis 1999 : deux nuls, deux défaites. Elle n'a même jamais marqué : 0-0, 0-0, 0-1 et 0-2. D'ailleurs, le quotidien "Komanda" donne 65% de chances à la France de s'imposer et 12% à l'Ukraine."

Govou is starting, with Henry and Benzema up front.

Frey in goal, Clerc and Abidal, Gallas and Thuram, Make and Diarra, Ribéry and Govou, Henry and Benzema.

Govou in the left is a rare sight.

I'd say the stadium is 10-15% full at most. Everybody looks awfully cold. Clynnog, yes, lucky that TV5 is broadcasting it here in Canada (where it's cold too). Both teams have started slow. I have a feeling the 22 much rather be drinking some hot chocolate at home.

Clerc is playing in a very advanced position. Franck, as usual, doing his best from the get-go.

Hard to see, but from L'Équipe: << Les joueurs français arborent un nouveau maillot, orné d'une bande latérale rouge. >>

The defence is not playing. But only Karim and Franck are trying to do something, anyway. Gallas and Thuram are not communicating.

PS: Finally one dangerous attack by France. I hope we don't see the usual 70%+ possession and no goals. :(
