I've taken the liberty of plotting out the teams who are likely to win in the playoffs. Favoured group: Sweden England Germany Russia I was tempted to go for Denmark in place of Germany, or Greece in place in Russia. But I think Russia will be a good challenge to Germany and Sweden, while still beatable for us because they lack pace at the back and never travel well. I also opted for Germany because I think we can beat them again, of course it almost certainly won't be another Munich scoreline but 2-0 or a comfortable single goal victory should be expected. I want us to be able to rub another win into them I chose Sweden from Pot A, as I think the players will want to make amends for not playing well against them in the World Cup. Also barring injuries we should be a lot stronger than we were then (Gerrard, Rooney, fully fit Bekham), while they're weaker since losing Larsson to retirement. Hardest group?
