You can get a 'preview' of how the pots will look over HERE

    I'm hoping France - Spain - Netherlands - Russia
To Hell with an easy group :D

Germany will be happy that Turkey didn't qualify if that list is accurate

    Group A- group of death
    Group D- group of fluff

    seems way too imbalanced...

Portugal is listed as A1 in the match lists. Does this mean B1, C1 and D1 will go to either France, Sweden or Czech Republic? And A2, B2, C2 and D2 would be the teams in Pot B?

The first thing is true, but teams from Pot B don't have to be A2, B2, C2 or D2. The 4 teams from Pot B will be divided in the 4 groups, but can also get for example A3, B4, C2, D4.

    Wrong!!!!

mad4footie was right the teams in pot A, Portugal France, Czech Republic and Sweden will be A1, B1, C1 and D1.. And so on..

As an example you can expect the opening match to be Portugal (A1) against B2 which will be a team from pot B (Italy,Spain, England or Germany)

And what a game it will be in the new FC Porto stadium on my city!

    You're wrong!!!!

A team from Pot B can be drawn A3 or A4. It's not true that teams from Pot A and Pot B will play their 1st match against each other.

"A selecção das quinas, que integra o pote dos cabeças de série juntamente com França, actual campeã europeia, República Checa e Suécia, disputará o encontro inaugural do Portugal2004, agendado para 12 de Junho, no novo Estádio do Dragão, frente a uma das quatro selecções que constituem o segundo pote: Espanha, Itália, Alemanha e Inglaterra."

That's one of the reasons why I think you're wrong.. How do you know that it's gonna be as you say? Common sense or something else...!

    my group draw predictions
    A
    PORTUGAL
    GERMANY
    RUSSIA
    LATVIA
    B
    SWEDEN
    ENGLAND
    CROATIA
    BULGARIA
    C.
    CZECH
    ITALY
    HOLLAND
    GREECE
    D
    FRANCE
    SPAIN
    DENMARK
    SWITZERLAND

from a croatian standpoint we'd like to ger sweden from pot 1 and out second choice would probably be the czechs(france-you never know and portugal lets face it the refs will be on their side)

pot 2(germany comes to mind, but we can also handle england and spain, italy sure will want some revenge from 02)

pot 4 we want bulgaria since were familiar with them...swiss are a big asterisk but they knocked ireland out so beware----greece are a nast team to play--they tackle and wont allow to many creations from midfielders and latvia well ........

See, you were wrong. The opening match is Portugal-Greece, so that means Greece has been drawn in the A2 position, while they were in Pot D for the draw.
