    Fellow Football Fans,

I live in the U.S. and I've been searching like crazy trying to find a Euro 2000 Highlights DVD overseas. All of the websites in the U.K. I've searched state that the DVD has been deleted or has never been released. Is this correct? I can't imagine that the 2000 European Championship was never available in DVD format in the U.K. Can anyone confirm its existence in England? I was able to find a 2 DVD set of Euro 2000 but its only language option is French. I really would like to have this DVD in English. Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Paul

BTW - Thank you G Enriquez for your reply before this post got lost during the crash. I tried Reedswain already. They only have Euro 2000 VHS tapes. I inquired if they could transfer VHS to DVD but they told me that they could only do tranfers in large quantities not just one.

Do me one favor and skip the Holland - Italy match. You'll laugh yourself to death.

    I can look around.

    AFCA,

Thanks for your response. I used goggle and unfortunately all the sites that came up I've already seen except for one. I found this:

    http://www.mediaal.nl/dvd/14_249.htm

but I assume that this Euro 2000 DVD is only available in Dutch.

BTW- I was on the Ajax website and saw that there is a DVD on the 2001-2002 season. Do you know if this DVD has English as one of its languages?

Even if you find a British Euro 2000 DVD would it play on a US DVD system. I always thought you couldn't play UK DVDs on US systems and vice versa.

    You can make them 'region-free'.

    I assume papa did that.

That is true but I have a DVD player that converts PAL (European) to NTSC (American) format. I tell you it's the best discovery I've made yet. There are so many great titles in Europe (the 6 DVD set of the History of Football, The Official Histories of Man U, Liverpool, Juventus etc...) that might never be available here in the U.S.

Furthermore, the total cost (price + shipping) for most of these DVDs is cheaper than the video versions available here in the U.S.

    Ex:
    1) The French 2 DVD set of Euro 2000 total cost is $28. (it contains highlights of all matches & the entire final)

    2) Videos of the Highlights & the Final in the U.S. are $30 each plus $5.95 shipping. Total - $66.

I guess I'll be brushing up on my French!

    Mc.Nitro3000,

Thank you for your response. Do you think you could post the details of the DVD? (Ex: the length, announcers, producer, manufacturer) I knew this item had to exist in England.

BTW- I tried Whsmith but they only have VHS tapes.
