In an announcement that will surprise no-one, Forest have called a taxi for Houghton and are targeting Steve Cooper, who took Swansea to the playoffs last season, as a replacement. Whoever takes over will be Forest's 22nd coach (permanent or temporary) in the last decade.
What a mess he has gotten himself into. https://theathletic.com/2827694/202...an-b-leaked-whatsapp-messages-late-transfers/
To summarize, Forest is off to their worst start in 108 years. The fans and players have turned on the team and Houghton hard, and players' private communications bagging on the coach have been leaked to the public. Despite a five year plan announced in 2017 to be a relevant premier league team who qualifies for Europe, they have cycled through old-school coaches, including Houghton who only knows how to play hoofball and last season they were the third lowest scoring team in all of League football. Much of it sounds like a new season of Sunderland til i Die.
TBF, tho, had Horvath put in an a solid, unexceptional day at the office this past game, he would be in perfect position to be part of a "don't rock the boat, let's see what we got" couple of games under a new manager. Keepers just don't get that many chances. He has to do better. Until that happens, the rest is noise.
To Horvath, to get Horvathed = when your agent completely ruins your career. Usage: That poor kid got totally Horvathed and now is back in the USL... I know you're his father but you need to hire a pro, you don't want to Horvath your son...
do you REALLY think the agent arranged this without discussions with Horvath and without Horvath talking to SW? I think Ethan has to fire himself.
He'd have to hire himself to fire himself. Its not just this move, though. The Brugges disaster and now this.I wasn't kidding when I suggested MLS.Turner has clearly surpassed him in the NT.
