Ah well. We all knew he wasn't going to play anyway. With half their roster with Covid you'd expect them to be cautious and not keep testing players until they got a negative. Water under the bridge, they're out.
Plot twist ... Ethan tests positive: ℹ️ Ethan Horvath test positief op Covid19, KAA Gent – Club Brugge uitgesteld. MEER | https://t.co/Nu0Gb8PVfi— Club Brugge KV (@ClubBrugge) February 26, 2021
Mrs. Spector, while we are thankful that you have resumed your activities, please remember that Yanks Abroad is interesting in your ability to make non-Americans incapable of playing. Please resume normal service as soon as possible.
In an effort to help out, this is his twitter address: @JSpector23. I would love to write him myself, but I don't have the slightest flippin' idea how to write a tweet to him to inform him that his mother is very important to our forum. Further, I don't think I even know how the "Spector's mom" thing got started so I wouldn't be the best BS representative if there were a back and forth. Perhaps you'd like to do the honors?
We should start a petition so that Clement allows Ethan to play on his Switch during games. It's not like he's going to play anyway.

Horvath is on the bench as well as McKenzie as Genk hosts Club Brugge in Match Day 2 of the Championship Round. Match is on ESPN+ for those interested….
He'll be a free agent in five weeks, and no rumors of any MLS club going for him. Trasfermarkt has him valued at a pack of cigs and two sticks of bubblegum, so maybe some poorer Euro option happens (some club in Poland or Hungary, perhaps?).
Should get his sending off/farewell match today. Unfortunately without fans. Rumours are we'll be fielding a very young team, so he will have plenty to do
Game starts at 12:30 eastern. Horvath will pick up his fourth Belgian Pro League winner's medal after the match.
It's not loyalty, it's respecting your contract. Principally because you a) want Brugge to do the same and b) your next club to be as reliable as Brugge. From all the evidence, Ethan isn't angry at Brugge - though there is a club that verbally agreed to buy him in the summer of 2019 and then welched that he was clearly very unimpressed with. And he shouldn't be angry. It's part of the game and not that different from being benched in favour of someone from the academy. If Ethan was absolutely determined to get starter PT, he could have gone to the Brugge GM back in August and said, "I want PT and X are willing. I will go on loan and waive any and all salary due on your part, or I will waive any and all severance payments if you make me a free agent". Clubs won't force a player to stay against his will, especially a player who has next-to-zero chance of earning PT, no matter how good he is. Doubly so after the guy and (probably) the club were screwed by the Letica fiasco. Ethan chose to stay.
