...because they didn't win at the Bernabeu? Brugge is unbeaten this season. Mignolet isn't going anywhere.
The way his team celebrated that tie Mignolet probably felt the pressure of an opened bottle of champagne.
Is Horvath's time at Brugge going the way of Dempsey? You play well and prove your worth but the club doesn't value you and send several replacements only for you to somehow come back on top. Hopefully, this isn't the end of Horvath. But if he's to leave, I'd love to see him head to a biggish side in the Netherlands or Portugal.
I said biggish, not the Biggest A Feyernoord or Besiktas. Clubs usually in the Europa League and competing for the title/CL spot.
It was fully expected that Brugge would walk away with at least a point against Real Madrid. Brugge have never ever lost to Real Madrid. Not once! So, it obviously didn't matter how the Brugge goalie guy played today because Real Madrid was not going to get 3 points. Now *that* is showing an understanding of how this game works.
Hi all as an update to Ethan ...agent is working a move for winter break he needs to move as #2 at a minimum to German Bundesliga, La Liga in Spain or Lige 1 in France. All are options. Teams back in August were not willing to bring in a keeper to challenge their #1 at the beginning of the season. Now at winter break they know where they are at and will be more willing to do this plus they have to be willing to pay at up to $3 million for Ethan as that is what Brugge paid for him. Leticia the #3 went to Spal in Italy on loan. Ethan will not go out on loan he is done with Brugge given how they treated him. For now he is able to train with Top Belgium club and is one injury to Mignolet away from playing. Plus he makes more bonus $ with each game they play in Champions League and he continues to enjoy the experience. He is training well and all realize his time will come. He is mentally more tough then Steffen so once He runs into some challenges let’s see how he responds ?
Thanks for the update, but every week Steffen faces a ton of shots through a poor defense, and so far he's responded by stopping enough of them to be named Goalkeeper of the Month.
We should all try to prep ourselves for the likely situation of Horvath going to a soon-to-be-relegated club, playing well, getting relegated, and then getting on the roller coaster ride once again.
Steffen and Horvath will recreate the Friedel and Keller battle of the 90s/00s and the NT will benefit Seriously though, it really sucks that nearly 3 years of faithful service to Brugge will end like this. I hope he's given a few games to end his time with them. Maybe the last group stage game where they play at home to Madrid.
He just might be the Hero some potential fodder club need. He's gonna be motivated to showcase his Best.
The concern I'd have with Horvath being the hero is signing on for the 20-21 season for a club that doesn't have the financial ability to not be a bottom feeder. And then it's Guzan all over again as he gets stuck there / has to bounce yet again. Maybe it all works out, but I do think Horvath is in a precarious situation.
