He's always been one of my favorite players, but if Richie is upgrading any position other than your bench, you're in trouble.
Now the pressure is on for Hudson. He is getting the team he wants and now he must produce. I suspect that this new team will be as good as the one he had in his second season with the Fusion. My only disappointment is that they traded Pope who is my favorite at United for Petke. Still, I love this game.
Petke will produce...while you metromorons will suck with our best players. We're giving you a hand so you can do a little better this coming season...it's embarrassing you lot find ways to not make the playoffs.

Let's wait and see before sounding the death knell on United this season.. Marco's signing will hopefully trigger some other interesting offseason moves that will potentially better our team.. Let's not forget we missed the last 3 postseasons with all those guys.. We can hardly do worse....
I wonder if this trade is the domino that needed to fall for the trade with Chicago. Didn't I hear Kovalenko and Stoitchkov for Mapp and a draft pick. I wonder if that announcment will come soon. Or maybe a trade with Columbus for Washington, now that the Crew knows that McBride and Cunningham aren't going anywhere.
no, in this trade we got totally F_CKED! Etch is gonna suck this year, and Petke sucks anyway, but i wish both them luck anyway, but i still think we got jipped, as long as Petke doesnt start im not worried about it...
I am chilled to the bone with the very thought that this is just the beginning... if other off-season moves are made by this brain-dead trust in a similar vein, I am going to be resigned to follow a franchise into a miserable and shameful second-rate status that will make these past three look like a party by comparison. I am less concerned by this season as I am by the succeeding four or five that follow. Hudson has shown all the proclivities of a quick-fix solution kind of guy, combined with a complete inability to work with the young talent at his disposal. Counter that with having just handed Bob Bradley all the tools he needs to carve us up like the Xmas Turkeys that we've become. That could end up a long-term disaster for our club, nothing short of being also rans behind the Metros for the forseeable future. We CERTAINLY could do worse... if we just got rid of Pope and Moreno only to bring in some long-in-the-tooth overseas saps we will be in REAL trouble!! Do you know something the rest of us don't? Like who our allocation players will be, or who we will draft, or in what order, or who we will trade for draft picks? How about how Convey and Tino will play after another year in the MLS? And Ben Olsen playing a full season healed from his injuries? Milton Reyes with a year under his belt in the MLS anchoring what was already a strong defense. I guess you're one of those half empty glass kinda dudes, while I prefer to see great opportunites open to our club.
