The R is because this thread refers to report of DCU v. FAU game.

    Check out report here:

    http://www.dcunited.com/index.cfm?section=games&cont_id=164929

Hudson says: “Furthermore ... I’m delighted with all of our new acquisitions. One or two of our established players need to take this pre-season a little more seriously.”

Interesting comment, given that there aren't many players left from last season.

Sure, this is just a scrimmage (and Namoff was in goal--yes, Namoff, if I read the report right)--Ray even discounts the result himself. But still I'd say he is somewhat pissed that 3 goals were scored (meanwhile, by way of comparison, LA "routs" a pro team 5-0)

And he's annoyed specifically with Reyes, I'd say. Any other guesses?

My guesses would be either Reyes or Stewart. It appears Stewart has been getting his time in midfield rather than forward, but it doesn't sound like he's been as impressive as we would like/expect. If he's talking about Stewart, I wouldn't be too worried. At his age I think Earnie's probably just pacing himself. When we get to the next-to-last preseason game is when I'd expect to see the real Stewart.

Actually, I'm glad to see Reyes get burned by a little too cavalier pass in front of the goal-mouth. He was a little too casual for my taste last season in this regards, but luckily it never burned him. Hopefully this will make him be a little more cautious about doing it in the future.

I know Ray is upset with Alegria already for not getting his visa. Is he ever going to make it to camp?

I doubt Ray's that pissed about letting in three goals. With a field player in goal likely misplaying crosses, not helping to organize, and lacking the shot stopping ability of Rimando (or any professional keeper, for that matter) three should be expected.

The goal that came from Reyes' sloppy passing should draw Ray's ire. But any "blasts" that got by Namoff, eh, that's life.

    SANTINO

i didn't see santino's name as a starter or player. Maybe Hudson is disciplining him for being a punk or possibly unprepared. This has to be his season or the punk in him will win over the soccer talent.

That statement about Reyes being at fault for the goal gives a real good hint that hes one of the players. My next guesse would go to Santino. Esky has supposedly been playing great, but we haven't really been hearing much about tino, Hudson has gone from praising him all last year to barely even mentioning him.

I noticed CFL was in the lineup. Any news on him?

It's clearly way too early to lay blame on any specific players.. As a matter of fact, when it comes right down to it, Hudson has no problem calling out players in public.. Just ask Ali Curtis and Chino Alegria..

To conclude somehow that Santino and Milton are on the short leash is simply ridiculous at this point...

    Friendly. Who cares?

It must be a record that we had two posters with their 1st post simultaneously.

Welcome to both of you (if you aren't sockpuppets)
