Hmm, let me ponder that a bit and get back to you.

p.s. The dialogue you're referring to (where have you been these past 5 mos?) was jovial banter... both directions. It just didn't happen to include ;) emojis. Nor does this post either... I add for clarification purposes.

Esr is a lot more like a superior jack Graelish to me

faster, more of a goal threat but just as direct and can play a cheeky diagonal through ball while cutting in from the left

imo he is going to be better than everyone realises. Foden might be the golden child but I see this comparison. If foden is the messi of st George England development then esr is the Ronaldo

less of a close space dribbler and space creator but much more of an offensive threat imo

Well, I thought that since I created this player thread (an extreme rarity for me) I should add the closing coda...

Farewell Emile, we wish you all the best at Fulham. Sincerely.

And looking back at my opening post, beyond the overly optimistic thread title (Ha!), I alluded to his injuries as possibly making him end up more like JFW than KDB.

And sadly he didn't even make it anywhere close to even JFW, forget about KDB. Injuries and overall fitness did certainly play a big role, but I've been left with this nagging feeling that psychology might've also been a major factor. Was his mentality not strong enough or disciplined enough or something?

Anyway, really sad the way things didn't go his way here. Time and a new home may tell.

I think it’s down to his lack of pace

if he was quicker he wouldn’t of been a liability in 8 and would be better one on one wide left

not to mention his injury record

He’s fat: doesn’t take care of his body well enough. And he was never a midfielder.

Hope he does well at Fulham, but I think we got a great deal out of them.

And I would assume we have a sell on clause so if he does fulfill his potential he might help the club further down the line.
