I essentially worship Adin Brown, but I haven't thought of a single good thing to ask!

[a] Why do his teammates call him Shrek?
Which is his gastronomic favorite - BK, McDees or Wendy's, and why?
[c] Is it true that he's offered to donate his body to science after he's gone, but they summarily declined the offer?
    :)

Adin Brown: I am here and ready to go!!!

Hudson, MA: Any special plans on how to shut down Ruiz? Also, just wanted to say congrats on the amazing job you've done!

Adin Brown: Thank you. Basically, what we really need to do is keep doing what we have been doing through the playoffs. If we play that way defensivly, we have shown we can shut down high profile guys. If we can do the same things we should have success with Ruiz.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rick (Boston): Do you pay particular attention to a threat like Ruiz, or do you just follow everything on the field as it develops?

Adin Brown: It's following everything the best I can. Of course, you are going to have to pay particularly close attention to him.

Moderator: We have lost our connection with Adin .. give us just a moment and we should be back online.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
JG: Is there any truth to the rumor that you've been playing injured for the last several months (supposed stree fracture in your foot)? If so, do you plan to participate in Arena's camp for the El Salvador game or rest it? GO REVS!!

Adin Brown: Yeah, the foot is still bothering me and I have a broken toe. I also have a stress fracture. I have been playing hurt.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gerry (Boston): Adin, good luck on Sunday. In practice this week, have you guys been focusing on adapting to LA's style of play, or are you just focused on taking your game to them?

Adin Brown: It's the latter .. if we do all that is necessary and do our job, we won't have to worry about what they will throw at us.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jen French Florida: Adin, I love you. Will you marry me?

Adin Brown: No thanks, but I'm flattered!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Peter (Williamsburg, VA): How did your time at William and Mary prepare you for your successful professional career?

Adin Brown: I think that was a huge development in myself as a goalkeeper. Al Albert deserves most of the credit. Also Paul Grafer, he helped me quite a bit as well. Kevin Doyle who came in my soph. and junior year was a huge reason I was a three time All American. Without those people, I wouldn't be where I am today.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dan, chicago: aidan, do u want to play in Europe? What are your thoughts on European soccer and have u ever been offered to play over there? cheers, dan

Adin Brown: Yeah, that has always been a dream of mine. I would love to see if I can stack up with the best players in the world.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Erik (San Luis Obispo): Hi Adin, I attended High School at Ygnacio Valley, the rival HS to your De La Salle. Do you have any plans of going back to help out with the De La Salle program in any capacity, such as a goalkeeper clinic or camp? If so, when? -Thanks

Adin Brown: Yeah, I have never been offered a position but I would be more than happy to help them in any way I can. I did train with their keepers when my brother was there.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chris, Dallas, Tx: Adin, I know you have had some serious clashes with Mamadou Diallo and I was wondering if you are happy that he is no longer in MLS due to his dirty play?

Adin Brown: I think he really hurt this league quite a bit. He was a superstar and did what he wanted, when he wanted. He hurt the chemistry of a couple teams and that is not a good image to portray. I think it's good for MLS he is going somewhere else. I think he can be a great player when he puts his mind to it.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mike (San Diego): How do you see your defense pairing up with the likes of Jones and Ruiz?

Adin Brown: I feel that our defense has been one of the best in the league the second half of the season. If we play our game, and play hard, we can shut down anyone.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rodan (Boston): What has you releationship with Juergen Sommer been since you took over between the pipes. Also, are you entertaining any ideas about playing in Europe if the opportunity presents itself?

Adin Brown: It's been great .. Juergen and I have been friends since the beginning of the year. We have a great relationship. He has been very gracious. I consider him one of the top 5 keepers ever in the U.S.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
henoch(philly): Adin,do you get nervous before big games, like the MLS cup?

Adin Brown: There is a jitterbug or two but you take it like every other game in your career. You just go out and do the same thing you always do and concentrate on the job at hand.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Josh (Lansing, MI) Currently in Foxboro for the Final: (FROM A RECOVERING MUTINY FAN) How was your transition from Tampa Bay to New England? Did you have time get settled down there, or did you welcome the move to New England from Day One?

Adin Brown: It was tough. I got traded last year from Denver to Tampa and having to move again was not fun. It took awhile to get settled in and try to find a place. But I'm very happy where I am right now and woudn't change it for the world.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Frey: When are you visiting San Diego again?

Adin Brown: Probably not for awhile .. but who knows what the future will hold!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Justin (Raynham, MA): How do you feel you match up with Kevin Hartman, should the game come down to penalties?

Adin Brown: Tough question! I think penalties are a different situation, it's all about psyching people out and getting in their heads. Whoever does a better job of that would win in that situation.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stuart (Columbus): During the playoffs with Columbus, I saw that you and your back line communicated a great deal, but it did not appear to me that you were setting the defensive stance as much as I have seen in other keepers. With the backline you have in front of you do you do much directing or is it primarily one of the defenders?

Adin Brown: It's everyone. If someone is out of postion I will tell them and if they are doing a good job, I will tell them that. I try to help as much as I can but we all have a good understanding of how it is supposed to work

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gerry (Boston): How is the team chemistry in New England different than it was at Tampa Bay and Colorado?

Adin Brown: We have a lot of respect for each other .. we pretty much can read each other's moves and we know what the other person is going to do and that helps greatly. We have a bunch of great guys and we have a great time together. I think that shows on the field.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Norm: How do you feel you stand in comparison to the likes of Napolean, Howard, Walker to be the next generations US National team goalkeeper?

Adin Brown: I don't really know. I don't think in those terms. That is not my decision to make. Bruce Arena has to make that call and if he feels I have what it takes to compete, it is his choice to bring me in.

I have to run .. thanks for all the questions. Be sure and watch the game
