Who the hell is Ellen Weinberg doing the sideline reporting? She's absolutely horrendous, offering nothing. It's bad enough we have to listen to Ty Keough.

    That was original. :)

  3. Boy that was one ugly game. In typical college soccer tradition, the game ended 1-0.

Apparently she does color on NY Power broadcasts on MSG, among other things.

It doesn't matter who does the broadcasting on a college game, you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Except in the unlikely event that you own a silk sow's ear

Wait, 1-0 is only typical of the college game? Anyway, at least it was 1-0 in regulation.

I try to watch some of Maryland's games and I've been a season ticket holder for DC United for most of its existence.

My point is, I thought the 2nd half of the MD-UCLA game was fairly attractive. And I really didn't mind the counting down or the brief commercial interruption.

Ty Keough was in the booth so I watched with the volume off and the stereo playing. I didn't mind one bit. :p

    The game itself was awful.

She graduated high school the same year I did and played alongside Carla Werden / Overbeck. She didn't talk to me then and she's still not talking to me now.

I thought she did fine. What the hell do you want? The frigging McLaughlin Group down there firing off insightful questions?
