It appears there has been a lot of discussion/confusion about the ESC MetroMemberships & the Manchester United game- hopefully we can clarify some things here- ESC Memberships- 1) The ESC post is right on with just about all of the benefits of a MetroMembership- the March 15 deadlines are accurate, however we will have a few extra "souvenier books" printed & sent to our offices, which means some may be left after March 15, they will not last too long after this deadline, if you miss out -you're looking at Tickets on regular ticketmaster stock. 2) We are indeed keeping track of those that are ESC Members (we have a recent list)- however we also recognize that many ESC Members wait until opening day to renew their ESC Membership- if you buy a ESC Metro Membership prior to March 15- but do not have your 2003 ESC Membership- we will notify the ESC. They have asked us to hold back the new Nike Jerseys for those who have not renewed their ESC Membership, but have subscribed to a MetroMembership. We will do our best to honor this request- 3) The half season plan is for 8 games (plan A or B)- 7 regular season & one special ticket which can be used for either the matinee match in the Summer or a International match involving the MetroStars. Check www.metrostars.com for dates of each plan- It does come with the Never a wasted ticket program as does MetroMemberships 4) The phrase- "Season ticket sales are the ultimate standard by which the league and each of tis teams are judged by the "money men"- this is an accurate statement which is why we attempt to provide as many incentives and discounts as possible to make the ticket packages as attractive as possible.- As a true fan, this is how you cast your vote for MLS! 5) 100 Memberships from ESC- we purchase the bevys & snacks for a road trip- 125- we pick up the tab for the whole thing,- tix, bus- snacks etc. Last season ESC committed to 78 Season Ticket Equivalents- 125 is very achieveable if everyone supports a ticket package this season! Manchester United 1) The first International match benefit of owning MetroMemberships is the current offer for the Mancehster United/ Juventus game. Remember, the Manchester United match is a Champions World/Giants Stadium game & NOT a MetroStars event. We have simply negotiated with Champions World to offer a benefit to our season ticket holders. 2) The benefit is- a 2 week private sale prior to general public sale to our MetroMembers & Half Season ticket holders. We DO NOT have control over the seat locations or the price- the prices are- $130, $60, $40, $36- you will get better seats than the general public if you order during the private sale. 3) The only way to get seats during this private 2 week sale is to own 2003 MetroMemberships or Half Season plan- only 1 ticket per seat- if you own 4 MetroMemberships, you can only buy 4 Man. U tix. 4) We cannot order groups- however, if you want ESC seats all together- simply call Tim Sinclair or Maya Mallan at the office & tell them you want to be in the ESC Section. Or send a fax of your order to the Metros Front Office- attn- ESC Section- we will hold all ESC orders requesting this- put them in a folder & send them to Giants Stadium with a request to put all seats together- this is the best we can do 5) Please remember again that this is NOT a MetroStars game- we will do everything possible to work with the stadium to accomodate your request- however we ultimately are at the mercy of the stadim. Hopefully this answers some of the questions about both issues. Finally, we are happy to announce that ticket sales are going VERY well for Home Opener 2003 on April 12. At this current pre-sale pace, we are expecting 30,000 strong to see the "new look" MetroStars- you should plan on being there to witness a New Tradition Begin for the Metros.
