BUS TRIP, BUS TRIP, BUS TRIP What: Bus trip to New England When: Saturday, June 26th Time: Leave NYC at Noon, Giants Stadium in NJ at 12:30pm Return to Jersey around 1:30 am/NYC around 2am Bus trip details: METRO- REVOLUTION, 7:30PM Cost: $ 50 in advance/ESC Members $ 60 day of trip/non-ESC members Trip Details: The bus will leave from 28th and 7th ave in Manhattan at noon on Saturday, June 26th. It will then head into Jersey and arrive at 12:20 pm at Giant's Stadium Park and Ride Lot, WHICH IS NOW LOT 13. From there we will leave for New England, arriving around 6pm, about 1 hour prior to kick off for the Metro game. If all goes well we will arrive at NJ at 1:30am, back at NYC at about 2:00am. It's BYOB food and beverages. The front of the bus is pretty much the family type section, the back is the working class youth section, so keep that in mind. We don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. Also, let's try to keep all of the food/liquids flowing in the same direction this time. (btw, wear red, wear black, wear a jersey). Payment Details: You can pay cash in person at the Metro v. Los Angeles game, in lot 18 or on the day of the trip. As long as you "register" by replying to this e-mail or otherwise contacting us, you can still pay just $ 50. If you do not pre-register and pay on the day of the trip, the fee is $ 60. If you would rather pay online, you can go to paypal.com and send a payment to escgear@yahoo.com. If you do this, please also send an e-mail to this address, empiresc@verizon.net to let us know that you've sent a payment. We will need from you: your name, 2004 ESC membership card number, a phone number where we can reach you and desired pick up location, either New Jersey or Manhattan. Bus Itinerary: Bus Arrive NYC ~11:30 AM Depart NYC 12:00 PM Arrive New Jersey 12:20 PM Leave New Jersey 12:30 PM Drive to Foxboro Arrive Foxboro 5:30-6:00 PM (traffic depending) Once we are in Foxboro, everyone can get off the bus and stretch. We will pick up the match tickets and distribute them to you. From there, you are on your own. Go in as early/late as you'd like, though if you go in early we'd like to have a few folks stake a claim in the away end so that we can all hang together. The seats are general admission though we will likely have a few rows dedicated to us, so we can all pile in the "Metro End", Section 118. Game Itinerary: Revolution- Metro 7:30 PM Metro game ends 9:30 PM Bus leaves 10:00 PM Please be respectful of your fellow fans and get on the bus as soon as possible. If you dawdle in the parking lot and we have to go looking for you, it will slow the trip down and it's not fair to anyone. Bus Itinerary: Leave Foxboro about 10:00 PM Arrive New Jersey about 1:30 AM (less traffic on the way back, yea) Arrive New York City about 2:00 AM Notes on food: Bring whatever you want to eat. We will likely not stop in either direction. Whatever you bring onto the bus, you take with you as garbage when you leave, as the NYC boys have to make sure the bus is clean before we get off it. Make sure you don't leave your mess for someone else to clean up. If you want to bring a cooler, make it a small one that will fit under your seat or over your head. If you bring an entire refrigerator with you, we will ask you to stow it so that we can get up and down the aisles. If you want to bring food to grill at the tailgate, fine, but we may not have time to grill. There will likely be Metro fans at the game that will let you borrow grill space if you ask politely. It is a no smoking bus, generally speaking. Notes on the trip: A. Again, if you are paying on the day of the trip, Cash only. B. If you have any questions, send an e-mail to empiresc@verizon.net. C. If you are buying seats on your own, you will need GA seats in the 118 section. Please contact the Revs for details. Without naming names...a certain ukranian individual left a "present" for the bus company in the cargo hold. Remember? They are going to be very confused by that one.
