I dunno. I wouldn't expect a YA signing with Magdeburg to create a ton of excitment because they can claim "former European champions" on their club CV. Do we dribble over ourselves when someone signs with "former European Champ Nottingham Forest"? Pre-Maastricht/Schengen, pre-Bosman, pre-Fall of the Wall, collapse of the Iron Curtain, when AW were at their best, the football world was very different. They didn't navigate those overwhelming forces very well, and really no one in Austria even gave it a good go until, quite recently, RBS. I watched them occassionally when they won their last title and the league was every bit as meh/unwatchable as MLS in the 00s. The fact is this club right now has a roster valued at 2/3 the roster of the Colorado Rapids, and half that of Rapid Wien. Rapid, btw, is doing the non fancy boy path to success well, a roster of young Austrian talent mixed with members of the Balkan football factory and a few others. Given the finances, I have no idea how RBS is sustainable, but they are built for continued success on the field.
Actually, there is a YA at Nottingham Forest - Alex Mighten. He's an 18 year-old in his debut season, who's come through their highly-rated academy and an England U-18 international. There's not a lot of activity in that thread.
Probably because he's in the English youth system and has never expressed any interest to play for the USA, as far as I know.
Adam Henley never expressed any interest in the USA either, but his thread was much more active when he was coming through at Blackburn. Sadly his career hasn't justified that level of interest, or any level of interest at all. Hopefully (for his sake) Mighten's career will be the opposite.

Is Aaronsen really not known for his quickness Never watched him until RB Salzburg but he's looked pretty damn quick with the ball to me. Impressive stuff from Palmer-Brown.
I would not say those were the most professional announcers. Aaronson doesn’t have elite speed, but he’s plenty quick.
I'd say that he does have elite speed as well. I've seen multiple times him beating FBs to the ball and then rounding them along the end line. MLS full backs, of course, but just a few players in the league could do that. So for me it looks like he has a combo of speed and quickness at least of Pulisic/Reyna level. His touch not Pulisic level, he isn't a dribbler, but he has other outstanding qualities.
Some more good performances like that just might land him in the Team of the Season and hopefully get him a loan to a bigger league.

Either a minor injury, probably a strain, showed up in the last training session and they left him out as a precaution or it's an illness - food poisoning, ordinary flu, etc. - that will disappear after 10 days
