Mediocre second half
PSV played very poorly in the second half. PSV played out the match at half strength, but was especially lucky that it faced perhaps the worst team in the Eredivisie. Heracles had the necessary opportunities to make it 1-3, but missed chance after chance. On the other side, chances were scarce. Ricardo Pepi hardly got the ball and played an anonymous game.

Ajax is stubborn. It continues to try to find footballing solutions. With Baas and Sutalo who want to form a triangle with a midfielder at a goal kick. But whether it's Klaassen, Regeer or Gloukh, PEC is prepared for it and has Ajax in its grips all the time. What also doesn't help is that wingers Godts and Bounida try to stay in possession of the ball very far on their own with the bag of tricks and thus create new opportunities for PEC. You would say, handle the long ball to Weghorst faster, win second balls and try to play football from there. That's not Ajax's greatest strength either, but in this way it's all about applying for a deficit and painful damage in the battle for second place. By far the worst first half of 2026.

FC Twente - Feyenoord is a tough match. The home match was narrowly a draw, while FC Twente missed an unbelievable amount of chances.
With both chasers for the 2nd spot NEC and Ajax dropping 3 and 2 points, we start of with a nice cushion, but it could be decisive if we win this match.

I lost count on how many coaches Ajax had in the last two seasons, but only one managed to get results with this selection and of that selection two of the better ones were sold.
