Eredivisie 2025-2026 season Ratings and comments

Discussion in 'The Netherlands' started by feyenoordsoccerfan, May 20, 2025.

  1. Although the season isnot ended yet, play offs are coming, I start the new season's thread with the presentation of the Eredivisie's matchball.
The new Eredivisie ball for the coming season is a tribute to the 123 countries that have contributed to the Dutch league in the past. During the play-offs for European football, it is already being played this week.
On the Globall, as the new ball is called, the world map can be seen. The darker a country is colored, the greater that country's share in the Eredivisie. Belgium (281), Germany (189), Denmark (171), Sweden (114), England (97), Morocco (86), Brazil (73), Norway (65) and Curaçao (64) supplied the most players to the Dutch league in the past and are therefore given a prominent place. The ball has been given as a gift to all those national associations and competitions, and well-known names such as Heurelho Gomes, Steven Pienaar, Lasse Schöne and Karim El Ahmadi have already received it.
'A lot of great things come together in the Eredivisie,' explains Jan de Jong, director of the Eredivisie CV, in a statement on Tuesday. 'Nice and attractive football, lots of goals, talented players, packed stadiums and a great entourage. All this makes us the sixth league in Europe. In addition, the competition remains unique: it is the springboard for great Dutch talents and a stage for young foreign players who develop here. A rare melting pot that you will find symbolically in the new Globall. And it is now literally and figuratively going all over the world.'

Exodus imminent at Ajax: star players want to leave, million-dollar signings don't even get a chance in preparation.
Who will be Ajax's new coach is not yet known.
Neither is which selection will be used next season. Of these, three-quarters may have left in September.

Heitinga (41) and Keizer (56) are the intended successors of Francesco Farioli, who announced the day after the last match of the season against FC Twente that he did not want to continue at Ajax. The former must act as a figurehead to the outside world, as reported by De Telegraaf on Wednesday morning. Heitinga and Keizer have been a coaching duo with the Ajax Reserves in the past, with Keizer as the person ultimately responsible.
I think that would be a good signing, as both have an intimate knowledge of the quality of the talents in the youth teams.

  4. It's silly morons time again.
León Bergsma declares Keizer to be Slot level:rolleyes:

Bergsma played in the 2016/2017 season for the Ajax Reserves, where Keizer was the coach at the time. In conversation with ESPN, the defender of AC Oulu from Finland talks about his experiences with the upcoming Ajax acquisition. "I'm an incredible fan of Keizer anyway," Bergsma begins. "I think he is one of the best trainers I have had and there were many. It may be a bold statement, but I think Marcel is close to the level of Arne Slot. I'm mainly talking about the fun of the game and the tactical part."

Bergsma can make the comparison between the trainers, because he played for AZ between 2018 and 2020, where Slot was first assistant coach and later head coach. "I think Keizer and Slot are tactically really similar. In my opinion, a good coach puts it right first. If things don't go well after that, for whatever reason, a good trainer can change something, which will give you control again. Both Keizer and Slot have that ability. A good coach has a clear vision, but is also willing to adapt if the match requires it. They can do that," says Bergsma
    .

I wonder why Slot is winning the epl and Keizer is coaching these clubs

Since 2017 at Ajax, Keizer's level of coaching hasnot been a proof of accomplishment, while Slot's trajectory has been going up.
Why is the level of journalism such that imbecil statements are being fed on without question marks?

Ajax has it's eyes set on NEC's goalie Roefs.
Man, I wanted him for us.
    He's an exceptional talent.

  6. It sucks if PSV and Ajax get their wanted goalies.
In that case of the top 6, only FC Twente, like Feyenoord, has a goalie below those of AZ, Ajax, PSV and Urecht.
