Big chance Feyenoord - Ajax isnot going to happen next week.
Police are having strike actions and they might take this match as a target.
Would be beneficial to Ajax, giving Fariola more time to get Ajax better in shape.

It will be an epic failure if PSV does not win the league this season.

Looks like Ajax is getting screwed this season, if no progress is made in the negotiations between the police unions and the government.
The police union has picked Ajax - FC Utrecht- September 15th as their action focal point.

Yes, it looks like they will continue to target Ajax matches for work stoppages. Isn't Danny Makelie a policeman??

Not looking good for matches to be played without cops.

Hundreds of hooligans on the fist at friendly match NAC in Germany
During a friendly match in Gelsenkirchen between NAC Breda and Schalke 04, disturbances broke out on the evening of Wednesday 4 September. About two hundred supporters of the club from Germany clashed with about a hundred supporters of NAC. According to local police, several people were injured. It is not known if any people have been arrested.

During the game, it was also restless. NAC supporters set off fireworks at kick-off. At half-time, the two groups of supporters chanted texts at each other. After the final whistle, things went wrong outside the stadium.
The German police are furious about the disturbances and say: "If the police now also have to deploy huge numbers of officers in 'friendly matches', we will cross a line."
Among other things, the police intervened at a restaurant in the center of Gelsenkirchen. There were also supporters of FC Twente. The supporters' groups of Schalke 04 and the Enschedeans are good friends. Schalke 04, which currently plays in the second tier in Germany, won the match 2-1.

This is going to put a strain on Ajax, as the KNVB can't accomodate them around EL matches because of the cancelled two matches.

I wonder if there will be police strikes in Rotterdam during Feyenoord home matches. I guess they are not going to strike in any of the cities smaller than Rotterdam and Amsterdam. this is really going to hurt Ajax and potentially Feyenoord with respect to league matches. If this action extends to Euro matches it will be awful.

  12. Yeah, the police union has threatened CL matches too.

FC Groningen coach Lukkien sees that Feyenoord is trying to find it's way

Dick Lukkien thinks that Feyenoord is not yet at the level of last season. Lukkien hopes to be able to take advantage of that on Saturday evening in the sold-out Euroborg. "After the departure of coach Arne Slot, they are still trying to lay the puzzle, it seems. The new coach has a clear idea of the game and Feyenoord still has good players. It's a great challenge for us to be able to measure ourselves against them," Lukkien said on the website of the Groningers. "Their level is difficult to estimate, because they have had a number of mutations in recent weeks." The Groningen team has not lost yet this season and Lukkien wants to do everything he can in front of his home crowd to maintain that unbeaten status. "We've had a good week of training and we're really looking forward to it. After quite some time, finally an evening match again and that in a sold-out house: a great poster."
