Anyone want to take bets on whether the football goal posts come down or not?

If you assume that there's six rows completed in the picture below, and average 15 per row, at 5 sections...

They must be going over the top of the building. There's no other way to come close to the estimates they've already given.

And it looks like that backstop will be going...

Hmm... maybe I can fit that in my den.

These are exactly the same as the stands in Chicago/Naperville.

Same building method, same type, same everything.

Yes, I think you guys will try to tear them down when we beat LA.

Just don't go chasing after Cobi with them. This isn't Texas Tech.

    Goalposts...

As long as Cobi isn't swinging binoculars at us, that won't be a problem.

But we do have a "lack of disrespect" for Cobi the Hedgehog.

And it's looking like, pending the NFL schedule release next week, our fat asses will be standing in a real stadium in October :D

Man! I thought there was going to be some pictures from under the bleachers looking up or something! What a disappointing topic this is!

It's always amusing to see Fire fans spin. A couple of years ago, they were running their pieholes about a "Firehouse."

Now they're running smack about returning to Soldier Field.

You may be returning to "real" stadium come October, but as of this coming Wednesday night, I don't think that too many Burn fans are going to be very impressed.

I saw highlights of a girl's high school playoff game on TV. They had the uprights and cross bar off, but the post was still there, behind the center of the goal.

I noticed that the football marking is still there. This looks ugly

I don't like it. The whole thing reeks of the minor leagues. I think they should've stayed at the cotton bowl until the Frisco complex is built. MHO

Thing is. If the team has a better deal, I'm all for it. All teams in most professional leagues had phases where they played in dumps, or in situations that weren't favorable. I mean, the Yankees played in freaking Shea Stadium. Can you even imagine that?

Just be greatful that in 2005 you will be playing in your own stadium.
