Two of the teams with the better attacks in the tournament, played a beautiful and tight match. The duo R9 and Robben were great this game, but the rival defense leading by C.Alberto and Desailly could contain the pressure and launch dangerous counters, that got Terry not well placed, being him very close to get booked. Ronaldo was awarded the MotM.

In this game, Peru's team put on the field one of the strongest midfield in the tournament, but wm's midfield were able to rise to the challenge. The battle Maradona vs Monti was something else, a really great display for both. A goal was disallowed to van Basten. And another one, disallowed to Maradona, who won the MotM.
