    Another plea for something cool

If only my mom had visited DC this month rather than last month...

Is there any way someone can pick me up a pair of socks with the DC logo on them or a pair of shorts with the #15 on them? I can send payment in just about any possible way (Paypal, check, money order, Western Union, etc.).

Is there a Metrorail stop for Chantilly?

Any truth to the rumor the equipment sale has been postponed because of inclement weather?

    Re: Metro

Nope. Closest would be Vienna on the Orange, and then there I wouldn't know how to do it.

I hope so....I wanna go so bad but even in good weather we are so busy at my job that taking time right now would be a no.

Hopefully they can schedule this event over a weekend.

Dammit, I hope not. I'm running out of vacation days to take. Whatever happens, I'm at least making the trip.

I probably shouldn't post this, but the message on their voice mail says the sale is on as scheduled!

If anybody gets home and realizes that they spent entirely too much money and in an effort to save their shambles of marriage because their soccer widow of a wife or husband fails to understand the importance of owning every jersey ever produced and the glory of actually owning a "real" team jersey please let me know. I couldn't make the sale but would love to get my hands on some stuff. Also hoping that some will post their scores so I know who to stalk.

Funniest thing at the sale: a misspelled Baumstock jersey. It said BARNSTOCK on it :)

I got a Namoff practice jersey, a Petke practice jersey, a Stewart practice jersey (for the fiancee, amazingly, he wears a medium), some new addidas socks, and a Nelsen Jersey.

This being my first equipment sale, I was suprised at how much they had to offer.

I was like a kid in a candy store... there first thing I did when I got in was start grabbing jerseys off the rack... at one point, I had a L/S home Petke, S/S home Reyes, L/S home Convey, L/S away Quaranta, S/S Alternate Reyes, and S/S Alternate Olsen... and that was within the first two minutes...

Reality set in a few moments later when I realized that I'm not rich. I ended up keeping the L/S away Quaranta, the S/S home Reyes (for Chico), the S/S Alternate Olsen. I also got a nameless L/S home, and a track suit, a calender, a Christmas ornament, and a Bobby Bobblehead. I ended the shopping spree quite a bit poorer than when I walked in.
