Two weeks without real football [pro] football was a real bummer. Happy to be back, even if this club is a trainwreck.
I was going to suggest watching MLS, but the Crew shit the bed last week... One keeper on the roster due to call-ups, and he managed to get a straight red in the first half. Fielder in net proceeded to give up 4 goals, one immediately on a FK after he got in net. Let alone all of our best players were off on call-ups... I hate that MLS insists on playing during international windows...
They are played 3 lost 3, 5 goals against and just one late consolation goal for. They have had possession dominance in all those games but made mistakes playing out from the back. Having been promoted via the play-offs they are the weakest of the promoted teams and yet to come to terms with the league. In short there are no excuses for us - despite our own issues if we cant win this game then EtH is in deep trouble as a loss or draw here continues a bad trajectory when he is running out of excuses.
Everyone says no to that because nobody wants to play or watch games Jan-Mar when it's cold as balls in places like... Columbus, Denver, New England, etc with 6" of snow and wind chills in the negatives.
well it's a change at least. this Rashford insistence is very disappointing though Man Utd team news Starting XI: Onana, Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez, Fernandes, Rashford, Zirkzee, Eriksen, Amad, Dalot, Mainoo. Subs: Bayindir, Evans, Maguire, Casemiro, Collyer, Ugarte, Antony, Garnacho, Wheatley. Southampton team news Starting XI: Ramsdale, Sugawara, Bednarek, Stephens, Walker-Peters, Downes, Ugochukwu, Fernandes, Dibling, Archer, Brereton Diaz. Subs: McCarthy, Harwood-Bellis, Taylor, Fraser, Lallana, Aribo, Cornet, Armstrong, Stewart.
well this hasn't started well but credit to Southampton, they aren't bunkering. they sense weakness and are going for it
Bang average penalty, but it's nice to get the save and also that it didn't drop for an easy second attempt
Good direction on the header from De Ligt and good assist Bruno on the cross. Lets get the second for a change
HT 0-2 We havent been good but end of the day their defending has been poor and we have at least taken a couple of the chances they have presented. All that matters to me is getting 3 points and no injuries going in to this busy period, so more of the same luck 2nd half please
i'd really like a 3rd goal here to feel more comfortable. Mainoo is on a yellow and should he get a red, things could go downhill very quickly
