Much better from us the last few minutes, the midfield isn't so static. Kalou offisde by half an inch or I think we would have scored.

I might be alone on this, but I like the kit.

Imo Ballack was the best player of chelsea. He is everywhere. He wins balls. He makes nice passes to the forwards but they fail to control them

He wasn't in the game at all for the first 25 mins though.
Of course, tough away game, just coming back from injury, and his debut in the league could account for that.

I also think the midfield set up, as is, fits neither him or Lampard.

Lampard was better than Ballack. Best player was Essien yet again, Sheva looks a bit out of it, Kalou isn't quite there yet, and we need Cole or Robben.

Playing Boula at right-back is a bit like playing Gallas on the left. He's giving nothing going forward.

Lampard off, Kalou off and Drogba and SWP on please.

    Both look rubbish and uninterested.

He had more contact in with the ball in the first 25.minutes than Lampard at the whole 45 half. Ballack is the player with the 13! on his back not the one with the 8.

Lampard made nothing but one good pass other than this he only made shit. Funny how biased english people are.

And when Frankie did get the ball he seemed to give it away at least 50% of the time. :(

I liked Boula at right back he looks nice and solid and Bridge and Essen are having good games again.

Kalou is promising, he just needs to get his first goal.

I think we look more settled as a team in midfield and at the back we just need to show more of a threat up front.

They play to hectical. The strikers try to penetrate the goal and shoot at any time on their own, instead of playing the ball to the free man, Essien and Lampard always try to play the dream through ball, instead of giving it the easy way to the central midfielder. No wonder that there is no control of the game, if you give away the possession so unnecessarily.

Sometimes it´s not good in the kitchen, if there are only chiefs but no plate scrubbers. Essien and Lampard need to degrade their play to fit the position they play as supporting midfielders.

    There's a problem there though.

If you tell Essien he's a supporting midfielder, he'll agree with you.

If you tell Lampard he's a supporting midfielder, he'll tell you, you're having a laugh.

Boulahrouz may be very hard to dislodge, if he has a good game.
If I were Ferriera, I would be very worried about my starting spot.

    penalty?

    nailed on penno.

you can't do that to a player.

lampard - soft penno to be honest, in by power alone.

    1-0.

    We'll score more now :)

Of course, that´s the problem. The coach could field both of Ballack and Lampard side by side in the middle, but today he fielded Lampard on the right wing, then he should play as a right midfielder.

We were lucky there the pen came from a nothing free kick where Balack went down very easily, but then again it was Savage :)

    yup.

pretty much like the one Ferriera gave away in mid-week, for the cross that lead to the equalising goal.

They say these things even out over the season, I'll take it.
