Supposedly the tactics for this game and others going forwards have been partially set by Jason Wilcox now he has started. Reportedly the new management team want any United manager to follow the 'game model' which is their idea of how they want the team to play in terms of style / identity / tactics (supposedly similar in some respects to how City play) and they will be judging not just management compatibility with this but player compatibility also both in terms of current squad but also acquisitions. Specifically, for this game onwards EtH has reportedly been told the team needs to retain possession more (the implication being that the level of possession has been unacceptable from his current tactics). The new management want to see how not just EtH adapts to them dictating more in terms of playing style but more importantly how the players adapt.
Very weak bench given McT & Amrabat presumably semi-injured, could get to see some kids getting minutes which will at least be interesting to watch. 🔴 UNITED!⚪️ UNITED!⚫️ UNITED!#MUFC || #MUNSHU— Manchester United (@ManUtd) April 24, 2024
Lots of kids on the bench Subs: Amad Diallo, Ogunneye, Jackson, Wheatley, Amass, Sofyan Amrabat, McTominay, Bayindir, Forson
What a terrible goal to concede. Same as the one against Brentford two games into ten Hag era. Back to square one.
Horror show from Onana, but Eriksen and Cas were also doing eff all with the ball apart from getting themselves cornered. Dunno what Onana thinking (clearly he wasn't - that was so casual) and Dalot also a bit on his heels. We show there is more of the barrel bottom to be scraped performance wise ...
I bet we’ve conceded 20 cutback goals this season. How has this not be addressed? It’s like every single one of our midfielders are incapable of tracking runners into the box.
Eriksen is such a poor defensive midfielder and AWB is a garbage defender. AWB allows the cross everytime, just always leaves his guy in space and slow to close down. 1-2
Lol we scored, but Maguire dove for a penalty and got the call. Waiting for VAR to make this a further mockery.
Even when we get a penalty we get ********ed. The ball ended up in the net. Why didn’t the ref wait there? And if VAR overturn this…does the goal stand?
Ref blew his whistle before the ball went in. Unlucky for Dalot. Super pen as usual from Bruno. Total dive from Magsy.
