Final home game, Carrick will do the addressing the crowd thing at the end of the game.

    Casemiro last home game.

In an ideal world we get the point we need to secure 3rd, then can put out a weak team 'to play the youth' in the faint hope that losing to Brighton (if they win mid week and if Liverpool lose final game) puts Liverpool out of the Champions League :sneaky:

the new shirt still looks average. even in person now.

this probably won't convince me at any point

Mbeumo on his longest run of not scoring for 3 years apparently.

He should have scored a couple today.

His and Amad recent form a mystery, can't blame the management - they are getting in their favourite areas, have been rested at times, have had great chances and opportunities but just not happening at the moment. Aside from the AFCON mental drain is just a bit of a mystery.

Honest answer from me is I don't know what the handball rule is this week as they change it every five minutes.

What I saw is that no question it hits Mbeumo arm, probably no question that it hits his thigh / hip first. Also no question that he is not the one that scores. So should be fairly straightforward based on what the rules say about that situation.

Will be one of those that some of the handball rules we have had last few years will allow and some will disallow. So all depends on what is current.

Mbeumo misses his 3rd big chance of the game and would have been an assist for Bruno too ffs ...

As per the current EPL handball rule it wasn’t handball…

If an attacking player or their teammate accidentally handles the ball and scores or creates an immediate goal-scoring opportunity, it is automatically an offence.

Finally, Mbeumo gets the goal but more importantly Bruno gets the assist :)

    Bruno you absolute legend.

Should be leading the assists though.

Anderson gonna Anderson, he gets another assist and its 3-2.

We really should go all out for him, gonna need some assists in the team when Bruno goes and Anderson can play multiple positions.

Fernandes finally hit 20 asissts but if it wasn't for the profligacy of the United forwards of late he should be on a number closer to 25 or more.

that, and wasting time as a CM under Amorim have held back his numbers significantly

Think you are right sadly. Need Carrick to try and sweet talk him as both geordie lads and both from the same boys club.

    3rd place confirmed.

We are in the vicinity of 70 points and 70 goals which is a big step for us.

Bruno equalising the assist record and that he didn't beat it because of so many missed chances plus Casemiro standing ovation for his final game will be the takeaways.

Just highlights how important replacing Casemiro in midfield and working towards replacing Bruno assists is going to be.

    see what i mean?

Fernandes could have had +5 assists today alone if anyone could finish properly.

on the other hand it makes his 20 more special than the other two since they had mature, fully flowing sides with good finishers.

he just needs to get it outright now
