Don't think Donny will be considered an option at the 6 for the near future (except perhaps in very select situations).

No - I think vdB is more down to us not having him long and not having a pre-season, like at all :)

Ole has talked about fitting Pogs, Bruno and Donny in to a system, but again no pre-season means no change of formation ..... yet.

Not really. He's going to start some games in place of Pogba, some in place of Bruno. He's not likely going to play the 6 role. He may play as part of the double pivot when we rest Pogba next to Fred perhaps, but Bruno/Pogba/VDB is too attacking certainly to start off with.

It may well be the case that Donny becomes the eventual 6, but since we've had no preseason it makes sense that Ole is trying to play guys who've had more time to get fit.

Not an ideal time to start your first start. I'd bet Donny gets 30 minutes, likely in place of Pogba. The same will happen with Dan James and Mason Greenwood.

My video quality is pretty poor (IMHO), but it's smooth and working fine.

Same old defending, 1-0 to Palace. Be glad if you can't watch the game

DDG continuing where he left off last season looking shaky as hell.

And we're down 1 already. Deserved by them. We've been pinned from the start. Pathetic.

For all those that defended Lindelof, thats what you get. Easily held off and allowed the Palace player to cross without attempting to put in a tackle. No business being a starting CB for a good team (which we may not be).

I'm okay with TFM at RB, that makes sense... I understand Mason starting on the bench, but I'd have played Lingard. Palace won't leave any space in behind for James.

Oh great. They've scored. Big shock.

Shaw with his usual injury comeback rustiness. Not good from the CBs either.

Which positions was it Ole wanted signings at .....

All he has is height and energy. It is a mistake to play him as the 6 next to Pogba. Fred would make a great deal more sense.
