JFC Zirkzee has no pace and then Garnacho ignores Mazroui on the overlap and gives away the ball leading to a Casemiro yellow
Cas gets booked and has a right go at Garnacho who both doesnt play overlapping Mazraoui in but then also compounds it by giving the ball away when we are light at LB as Maz ahead of him. Cas has to take the yellow. Kid has a lot to learn.
Decent result. Chelsea better side. Palmer is a different class. Rashy was our best player. Maz did well today.
I'm not bummed about the result. Chelsea in a better position on the table but we're not far off of that level. We just need THAT one guy. We thought it would be Rashy but I think his time has come, especially if the investment is going to be on Garnacho. Someone like Amad offers better balance in terms of attack (one live wire, one cool and collected) but the quality is lacking.
Problem is Rasmus and Zirkzee are not scoring. Partly a lack of service, but both players have their draw backs. Zirkzee cant beat defenders for pace, looks clumsy too. Rasmus not really doing enough to demand service. Ever since that Bruno/Dalot incident, when he went to ten Hag, he has not spoken up for himself. He needs to confront his teammates for service. Rashy at least tried to cross it, but tended to overlook Rasmus for Garna or overshot them.
Call me crazy but late in the game, what I wanted to see was Rassie Rashford Bruno Amad Or Rassie Bruno Zirkzee Amad I really think we need to consider starting Rash and finishing with Garnacho on the left and getting Amad in from the start and maybe finishing with Antony when healthy or Bruno
We might see front 2. Rash/Garna off of Ras/Zirk is my guess. That's if we go 3421 or 352. Amad would work in 343. Amorim might not change, but IMO it's almost necessary now to play front 2 just to score goals.
Our wingers are so greedy our CF has to feed off of scraps. That is why I think we move Bruno to one wing to keep width and play with two strikers, one playing a SS role and then use one of the wingers, late in the game, this seems like the point
